It’s time to stop trying to control the uncontrollable.

I heard about the “Let Them Theory” from and it’s a total game-changer.

Here is the summary:✨ If your friends don't invite you to brunch... let them.✨ If your partner doesn't want to do a hobby with you... let them.✨ If people misunderstand you or disagree... let them. Stop wasting energy trying to get others to meet your expectations. When you “Let Them,” two things happen:

1️⃣ You gain immense peace of mind.
2️⃣ They reveal their true selves, allowing you to choose what’s right for YOU.

This isn’t about letting people walk all over you. It’s about not wasting energy trying to manage their behavior and instead, managing your own energy. Let them and then choose to focus on YOU. 💚

🌿 Foraging for my Womb: A Backyard Menstrual Tea 🌿

I decided to get in touch with the medicine growing right in my backyard this week to create a nourishing, comforting tea for my cycle. These "weeds" are packed with incredible properties to support menstruation.

Here is what I harvested and why:

☘️White Clover Flowers (Trifolium repens): Often overlooked, these sweet flowers are a powerhouse! They are traditionally used for their anti-inflammatory properties to help with uterine cramps. They are also high in nutrients and act as a gentle "blood purifier" to support detoxification during our cycle.

🌼 Daisy Fleabane (Erigeron): This little white daisy-like flower is a traditional favorite for "women's troubles". Its astringent properties are excellent for regulating periods and helping to ease heavy menstrual bleeding. I added this to help with bloating and to tone the uterus, reducing pain.
⚠️ Note: Do not use if pregnant.

🌿 Blackberry Leaves (Rubus fruticosus): A massive uterine tonic! Blackberry leaves are rich in tannins and antioxidants, acting as an astringent to reduce heavy menstrual flow and soothe severe cramps. They are incredibly soothing and strengthen the body.

The Brew:
I’m using fresh white clover flowers, the young flowering tops of the fleabane, and fresh blackberry leaves, steep them in hot water for about 10–15 minutes, covered to keep all that good medicine in.

Nature truly provides everything we need to heal. ❤️

One of the best parts of going home to Ohio is all the dandelions this time of year!

We picked as many as we could to dry for tea. It helps with so many functions in the body!

In Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, journalist James Nestor argues that modern humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, leading to widespread health issues like asthma, allergies, and sleep apnea. By exploring ancient techniques and modern science, he demonstrates that exclusive nasal breathing, slower respiratory rates, and reduced air intake significantly improve physical and mental health.

Proper breathing, specifically slow, diaphragmatic breathing, regulates the nervous system by activating the parasympathetic ("rest and digest") system while calming the sympathetic ("fight or flight") system. It acts as a bridge between conscious action and automatic bodily functions, stimulating the vagus nerve to reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure, and increase oxygenation to the brain.

This is the perfect book for anyone interested in a small habit they can start that can significantly impact their health!

We moved to a new home about a year ago. The front yard hasn't been sprayed with pesticides so there's lots of wonderful things that grow.

We were lucky enough to find dead nettle, henbit, and wild garlic chives.

Will be turning the dead nettle and henbit into teas by drying them out and use the garlic chives fresh as a garnish!

Blessings are out there. You just have to be willing to see them!

and don't worry, we left most of it for the bees!

* Always make sure to identify a plant properly before you touch or ingest it!

Kids have such a natural connection to their bodies.

This week I spent time with a group of homeschool students exploring how our nervous system talks to the rest of our body and how emotions, stress, and physical health are all connected.

Watching kids light up when they realize their body is designed to communicate with them is always my favorite part.

The more we teach kids to listen to their bodies early on, the more confident and resilient they grow up to be.

Grateful to be part of this community. ❤️

Healing moves at the speed of trust.

Not the speed of willpower.
Not the speed of how badly you want to be better.
Not the speed of how much you understand your trauma.

The body does not heal because you tell it to.

The body heals when it finally feels safe enough to let go.

Our nervous system is always asking one question:
“Am I safe?”
If the answer is no, your body will hold on.

It will hold tension.
It will hold symptoms.
It will hold patterns.
It will hold emotions that feel “stuck.”

Not because it’s broken… but because it’s protecting you.

In Neuro Emotional Technique, we see this every day. The body stores emotional stress in tissues, muscles, organs, and nervous system patterns. And those patterns don’t release with logic, they release when the body trusts that the danger has passed.

This is why healing can’t be rushed.
This is why forcing it often backfires.
This is why gentle, patient, attuned care matters so much.

Because the moment your body feels:
“I don’t have to fight anymore…”
“I don’t have to brace anymore…”
“I don’t have to survive anymore…”
That’s when healing begins to move.

Not faster.

But deeper. ❤️

"It Didn't Start With You" explains how unresolved traumas from ancestors (parents, grandparents) get passed down through generations, showing up as our own unexplained anxiety, depression, fears, and physical issues, and offers a exercises to identify these hidden family patterns and break the cycle for healing. The book combines neuroscience, epigenetics, and therapy insights, using real-life stories to reveal how we unconsciously carry ancestral pain and offers practical tools to connect with our family's history to transform it, rather than reliving it.

This is a great read for anyone, but if you struggle with the relationship with your family, it's even more for you!

Starting a new series on some of my favorite books and some new ones I'm reading! This is one of my top three books for physical health, mental health, and personal growth!

Hundreds of years ago, we decided that the mind and body are separate. That was a big mistake! The Body Keeps The Score beautifully marries these concepts back together. We are a whole person, and until we focus on how all our pieces are connected, healing can be difficult.

A must read in my book! 😉

Want a More Calm Pregnancy?

Did you know that stress during pregnancy doesn’t just affect you—it affects your baby too?

When you’re stressed, your body releases cortisol, which can impact your baby’s development and nervous system. The good news? Neuroemotional Technique (NET) can help release stored emotional stress, making pregnancy a calmer, healthier experience for both of you.

Drop a “CALM PREGNANCY” in the comments for a quick at home stress relief technique! ❤️
