National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NNHAAD) is observed annually on March 20th (the first day of Spring) to promote HIV testing, prevention, and treatment within American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. First observed in 2007, it highlights the unique impact of HIV on Native communities.

Let’s continue to end stigma, educate, as well as increase awareness and access to community specific resources to reduce the disproportionate impact of HIV in indigenous populations.

“Eid Mubarak” is an Arabic phrase meaning “Blessed Feast/Festival,” commonly used by Muslims worldwide to wish each other a happy and blessed Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha. It marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, and is celebrated with special prayers, family gatherings, charity, and festive meals.

Today is…

National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD), which is observed annually on March 10th to highlight the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls in the U.S.

While women represent about 19% of new HIV diagnoses in the U.S., they are often overlooked in prevention efforts, and 1 in 10 women with HIV are unaware of their status.

Today we emphasize educating communities, empowering women to get tested, and supporting those living with HIV through treatment and care.

Together we can stop HIV.
