Working out is great for your body and mind — but it can also expose your skin to bacteria, fungi, and other germs that thrive in warm, moist gym environments. To protect your skin, follow these tips:

1️⃣ Choose loose, moisture-wicking clothing to keep skin dry.
2️⃣ Use a clean towel to gently blot sweat — don’t rub.
3️⃣ Wipe down gym equipment before and after use.
4️⃣ Bring your own yoga mat whenever possible.
5️⃣ Always wear flip-flops or shower shoes in locker rooms or by the pool.
6️⃣ Shower right after your workout and change into clean clothes. Apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp to lock in hydration.
7️⃣ For acne-prone skin, wash with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser.
8️⃣ Never share razors, towels, or skincare products.
9️⃣ Empty and wash your gym bag essentials daily.
🔟 Alternate sneakers to let them dry between workouts.

Stay safe, stay healthy! Thanks to American Academy of Dermatology for inspiring this list! 👩🏻‍⚕️

🍁 October Check-In: Protect Your Skin

Fall is here, but your skin health doesn’t take a break. Take a few minutes this month to do a full skin self-exam — it’s simple, quick, and could be life-saving.

Here’s what to look for:
• New or unusual spots or growths
• Moles, freckles, or birthmarks that change in size, color, or shape
• Patches, sores, or bumps that don’t heal
• Areas that itch, bleed, hurt, or scab

🪞 Tip: Good lighting and a mirror are your best tools. Don’t forget places that are easy to overlook — your scalp, back, nails, and between your toes.

If you notice something suspicious, don’t wait. Make an appointment with your dermatologist as soon as possible. Early detection makes all the difference.

Share this reminder with a friend — because skin checks are important every season. 👩🏻‍⚕️

🍁 Fall Skincare Tips to Keep Your Skin Healthy & Hydrated 🍁
As the weather turns cooler and drier, many people experience dry, irritated skin. Changes like hot indoor heating and long showers can make it worse. Here’s how to keep your skin soft and protected this season:
🍁 Moisturize wisely – Switch from a light lotion to a heavier cream or ointment, especially at night, to lock in hydration.
🍁 Hydrate hands often – Keep moisturizer by sinks to apply after washing your hands.
🍁 Shower smart – Use lukewarm water, gentle fragrance-free cleansers, and limit showers to 5–10 minutes. Apply moisturizer immediately after drying off.
🍁 Protect your skin barrier – Swap harsh, foaming cleansers for creamy, hydrating ones. Avoid products with alcohol or strong exfoliants that dry out your skin.
🍁 Add moisture to the air – Use a humidifier in your bedroom to combat dry indoor air.
🍁 Don’t forget SPF – Even in fall, UV rays can damage your skin. Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+, lip balm with SPF, and sun-protective clothing.

Happy fall to all! 🍁

Noticing hair loss? You’re not alone. Both men and women can see thinning at any age—and early evaluation makes a big difference. ✔️

Hair loss has many causes, so seeing a dermatologist is key. The right diagnosis ensures safe, effective treatment—self-treating online can sometimes do more harm than good.

We offer:
✔️ Prescription medications
✔️ Minoxidil
✔️ Corticosteroid injections

Our providers use advanced medical training to create personalized plans for healthier, fuller hair.

Hair loss affects both men and women—many men in their 20s and 30s, and 1 in 3 women by age 30. New treatments now offer real results for everyone.

🍂 Cooler weather is here, but that doesn’t mean you can skip sunscreen!

Sunscreen isn’t just for summer. Even when the temperature drops, the sun’s harmful UV rays are still present all year long (yes, even on cloudy days!). UV exposure can lead to:
• Skin cancer
• Premature skin aging
• Sunburns

For best protection:
✅ Wear sunscreen daily
✅ Choose sun-protective clothing—long sleeves, pants, a wide-brimmed hat, and UV-blocking sunglasses
✅ Seek shade whenever possible

✨ Bonus: Many sunscreens are on sale now, so it’s a great time to stock up. If you’re not sure which formula is best for your skin, consult your dermatologist for personalized advice. 👩🏻‍⚕️
