Dr. Cardullo offers telehealth appointments in the afternoon and early evening a few days a week — a very convenient option for all ages. 👩🏻‍💻

Telehealth is great for rashes, acne and other skin conditions as well as follow-ups to check how a medication is working.

It’s extremely convenient: no need to head out to the doctor’s office on a cold day or deal with traffic. You can even do it on a break during the workday, with no need to take time off for a medical appointment.

She offers telehealth on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday via Zoom. Call the office or book online to schedule. 👩🏻‍⚕️

Healthy skincare doesn’t require a 10-step routine or pricey products. Prevention and smart habits go a long way.

✨ Cleanse, moisturize, protect — before buying extra products, make sure you’re doing the basics every day.
✨ Apply moisturizer to damp skin — it optimizes your moisturizer’s effectiveness.
✨ SPF daily, all year — wearing moisturizer and SPF 30+ broad spectrum sunscreen helps prevent wrinkles, age spots, and skin cancer. It’s cheaper to prevent than treat later.
✨ Drugstore products can work — there are effective moisturizers and sunscreens at various price points; ask your dermatologist which ingredients suit your skin type.
✨ Skip DIY skincare hacks — don’t apply toothpaste to pimples or make your own sunscreen; trends without scientific backing can irritate your skin or make things worse.
✨ Hydrate, sleep, and clean surfaces — things like removing makeup, washing pillowcases, cleaning brushes, and disinfecting your phone support healthier skin.

December Check-In: Don’t Forget Your Skin ❄️

With the holiday rush and colder weather, skin checks can easily fall off the to-do list — but they’re still important year-round. Take a moment this month to look over your skin and notice anything new or changing.

🔎 Pay attention to:
• Moles or spots that look different than before
• Rough, scaly, or non-healing patches
• Areas that itch, bleed, or feel irritated

🪞 Reminder: Skin cancer can appear anywhere — even where sun exposure is minimal. A mirror and good lighting can help you check harder-to-see areas.

If something doesn’t look right, schedule a visit with your dermatologist. Early detection makes treatment easier and more effective. 👩🏻‍⚕️

• Cover up with sun-protective clothing.
• Do a monthly skin self-exam to check for any changes.
• See a board-certified dermatologist for a professional skin exam—early detection saves lives.
• Avoid tanning beds.
