Last week, the County of Bergen hosted a solemn ceremony in honor of POW/MIA Recognition Day. We came together to remember the nearly 80,000 American service members still unaccounted for and to reaffirm our commitment that they will never be forgotten. We also paid tribute to two local World War II POWs, Harold Friedeman and Sgt. Frank Demeraski (posthumously), honoring their courage and sacrifice.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in paying respect to our heroes. Our POW/MIAs remain in our hearts and in our prayers always.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us earlier this month for yet another successful Senior Festival at Van Saun County Park! This annual event is meant to bring the community together and showcase the services available to our residents. Here in Bergen County, we are proud to provide our senior residents with the resources they need to age in place with independence and dignity.

Thank you to our staff and first responders who helped make this event possible and keeping us safe and organized!
