For the 16th consecutive year, Jazzercise of Hackettstown! has made it their mission to raise breast cancer awareness among members during the month of October — all while generously supporting the Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center.

Leslie Waters and Nancy McCarthy recently presented Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center Director Stephen Flynn with a $1,200 check from their fundraising efforts.

We’re pleased to welcome Jeffrey Day as the newest member of the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center Board of Trustees.

Jeff is the owner and CEO of Tutor Doctor of Morris County and Day to Day Consulting, and his entrepreneurial mindset comes from years of experience in both the corporate and educational sectors. Prior to business ownership, Jeff worked across various therapeutic areas in the pharmaceutical industry and his accomplishments also include global sales and leadership development for ADP.

We’re grateful that Jeff is now sharing his time and talents with the Foundation for the benefit of Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center and patients in this region!

We’re pleased to share the latest funding initiative of the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center – a Rolascreen for our Intensive Care Unit.

When a patient’s circumstances don’t allow for the use of the traditional privacy curtains in their ICU room, this high-quality, mobile privacy screen provides the appropriate dignity and respect for the patient and their family, as needed.

Our thanks to ICU Registered Nurse Teresa Polo for reaching out to the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center to pursue funding for this item that exemplifies compassionate care and will contribute greatly to positive patient experiences in the future.

Atlantic Health System's Hackettstown and Newton Medical Centers thank our incredible community partner, Hackettstown-based Mars, Incorporated, for their generous donation of multiple cases of M&M’s Peanut Chocolate Candies in honor of Nurses’ Week at both hospitals! Mars Wrigley Site Director Michal Riha and associate Jennifer Bongiovanni personally delivered the pallet of sweet treats and took time to thank the nurses gathered for all they do to care for patients each and every day.

The Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center is pleased to announce the receipt of a $100,000 grant from the Douglas M. Noble Family Foundation to support the creation of an Oncology Patient Assistance Fund at Atlantic Health System’s Hackettstown Medical Center. This fund provides vital assistance to vulnerable members of the community, offering oncology patients and their families some relief from financial hardships that may impede care. Hackettstown Medical Center hopes to grow the fund to provide meaningful assistance to those who need it most, when they need it most, ultimately reducing delays in care, ensuring accountability, and promoting successful treatment. Our thanks to the Douglas M. Noble Family Foundation for this generous grant!

It was a great night at the 2025 "An Evening of Wine & Roses"! The Newton Medical Center and Hackettstown Medical Center Foundations thank the 500+ attendees, sponsors and volunteers who came out to enjoy a Grand Prix celebration-themed evening at Perona Farms! Proceeds will benefit the Newton Medial Center Foundation’s $1million oncology expansion project at Sparta Health & Wellness; and the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center’s Annual Fund to further advance essential healthcare programs and services including behavioral health and oncology.
