Part independent living, part assisted living, The House offers a tiered approach to the aging process, accommodating residents’ changing needs.

Located on over 15 picturesque acres, Riverwalk Village is a senior living community with more choices to do what you love and nurture your mind, body and spirit. The House of the Good Shepherd offers a variety of services within one community with social activities and increased levels of care as needs change. Upon entering, seniors 60+ can reside independently in apartments or cottages. When assistance with everyday activities becomes necessary, they can move into assisted living. This community gives older adults the option to live in one location for the duration of their lives, with much of their future care already figured out, thus providing a great level of comfort to seniors and their families.

A special surprise at Riverwalk Village! Earlier this season, turtle nests were found near our gazebo along the Musconetcong River. Last night, the snapping turtles hatched and this morning, they made their way into our courtyard. Nature’s wonders right outside our door!

What started last year as a resident-led effort has now become an annual initiative at Riverwalk Village! Residents, team members, and volunteers came together once again to care for the Musconetcong River that runs alongside our campus.

This year’s efforts included removing overgrown beds near the screen house, transplanting peonies and lilies, and planting red pansies to attract pollinators. The staircase leading down to the river was also cleared of debris, and native violets were planted to naturally spread in the coming weeks.

The morning wrapped up with a BBQ lunch, bringing everyone together to celebrate their shared commitment to the environment and community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success!
