FUE Hair Transplant Result – 9 Month Update

This patient underwent an FUE hair transplant to rebuild his hairline and restore the corners that had receded over time. A total of 1,854 follicular grafts were carefully transplanted to achieve natural density and restore facial framing.

The photos shown are approximately 9 months after the procedure, and the patient is extremely pleased with the results. As with most FUE procedures, the hair will continue to mature and thicken over the coming months.

This patient came to us after undergoing multiple FUT and FUE procedures at other clinics. Due to those prior surgeries, his donor area was limited.
His main goal was to improve crown density—without further thinning his donor zone.

Aggressive hairline lowering was performed using 2,800 FU grafts in this case involving Afro-textured hair—a procedure that presents unique challenges due to the tight curvature of the follicles.

There is a lot to takeaway from the case but in brief the patient had a botched 2500 graft surgery at a technician operated clinic with almost zero growth. To be able to pull off another big session required detailed surgical planning and countless surgical hours.

If a prospective patient has afro textured hair my advice would be to avoid clinics where harvesting and implanting is done by technicians and not physicians. While this advice applies to all patients, it's especially critical in complex cases like this.

This patient had undergone multiple prior procedures, resulting in a depleted donor area. We performed a meticulous mapping of the donor area and used approximately 1,900 follicular unit grafts from the beard and scalp to restore density in the front and midscalp.
