That’s right! We’re bringing it back! Now’s the chance to join our book club, if you haven’t already!! The book we are reading this time is “You Are Your Best Thing” by Tarana Burke & Brené Brown! This is a powerful book full of essays written by Black women, covering topics on vulnerability, shame, resilience and the Black experience. If you are interested in joining, don’t hesitate! Everyone is welcome! You don’t have to be a client of The Epiphany Room to be a book club member, however space is limited. This group is kept small to allow for more intimate conversations. So feel free to shoot me an email or DM me here on Instagram if you’re interested or want to learn more! 📚

Mark your calendars!! The “You, Me, Poundcake & Tea” event is BACK!! 🙌🏾💃🏾

“You, Me, Cake & Tea” is an event created to help raise awareness and decrease the stigma around mental health in the community, while eating yummy cake and sipping hot tea! The event will offer table seating and will feature an open forum style discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions (anonymously or not) to the featured Mental Health professionals on the discussion panel. The event will also feature two short introductory body movement and somatic classes to help encourage attendees to get up and moving, so that they can learn how to use these tools to support their own mental health. There will also be vendor tables present to provide further resources and information to attendees.

All are welcome, young and old! But space is limited due to seating. Please don’t hesitate to register, so that your seat can be secured! Please send us an email or visit us at our website www.theepiphanyroom.com to register (click link in bio). Looking forward to connecting with you all for an amazing event! 🥰🧁🍰🫖☕️

Being a public facing professional or creative can be challenging, and often time feels thankless. Many of us feel driven to share our talents and skills with the world and become so vulnerable to the demands that are placed on us, as well as the ones that we place on ourselves. And then add to that our personal traumas?! Navigating relationships?! Forget about it. It can be so hard to push through, just to produce your work or art. It can be tricky trying to show up for friends and family when work demands so much. 🫩

The Epiphany Room offers counseling and wellness services specifically for professionals and creatives who are facing the challenges of balancing work, life, relationships and their mental health. We understand the unique challenges that come with this lifestyle. If you’re ready to talk about it and explore some solutions in a safe and supportive environment, click the link in the bio to visit our website to learn more about our services!!

Alright the weather is warmer and the sun is shining bright, so let’s get these workshops popping! The Epiphany Room will be offering 2 workshops each month, starting in May! Check out the two workshops coming up!☀️

🔘 May 4th, 3-4PM
Mindful Movement & Breathwork

This workshop will guide you in exploring different ways to incorporate and expand movement and bilateral stimulation in the body to help regulate stress, emotions and your nervous system. These movements will be based in West African and Afro-Cuban body movements. Come in comfortable clothing. Light refreshments will be provided.

🔘 May 25, 3-4PM
Journaling & Storytelling

This workshop will help us to dig deeper through the use of guided journaling. We will also learn how to positively reframe our personal narratives, as a tool to help us reshape how we internalize, share and respond to our lived experiences and personal stories. Journals, pens and light refreshments will be provided.

All of the workshops we host will be open to everyone in the community, and will be for adults unless otherwise specified. Please note that spaces will be limited to ensure a safe and intimate environment for attendees. All of the workshops will be hosted by Aliya Adenuga, a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR and IFS (partswork). As such, these workshops will be fun, educational and professional.

If you’d like to attend, please reach out to me at aliya@theepiphanyroom.com or via text at 609-949-6238. You can also check out our website by clicking the link in our bio!!
