Whether you voted for Trump or not, your future health is currently at jeopardy because of the actions taken by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy in firing the C.D.C. Director, a medical doctor who has specialized in vaccines and infectious disease, who refused to accept his position on vaccines. Mr. Kennedy does not have a medical degree but instead has a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Pace University.
His views on vaccines are not based on scientific vigor, but instead on personal biases.
His actions are NOT in anyone's health interest. Do you want to see a lawyer for your medical care? Accepting his recommendations would amount to that.
The current recommendations that he has proposed are NOT what most medical professionals will recommend.
I for one, feel that everyone should get the flu and the covid vaccines. Not limiting it to only those with medical problems or over the age of 65. The flu vaccine can significantly reduce your risk of having a heart attack, with some studies indicating a reduction of 26% to 50% in the risk of a major cardiovascular event or death from heart disease. This is because the flu causes widespread inflammation, which can make existing plaque in the arteries unstable and prone to rupturing, leading to a heart attack or stroke. The flu shot works by lowering the body's inflammatory response and preventing the infection that triggers it.
If you care about the future of our health, I would suggest that you contact a member of the Senate Health Committee and express your concerns about the future of our vaccines in this country. Here is a link to the members on that committee: https://www.help.senate.gov/about/members
The question you should ask, is do you want someone without any medical experience being in charge of the CDC???
