Today, our amazing Social Committee surprised the team with Dairy Queen Blizzards in celebration of Miracle Treat Day! 😋❤️
Not only did we beat the heat with some delicious ice cream, but every Blizzard purchased also supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. A perfect blend of fun and giving back! 💙👶🏽🏥

📢 Important Insurance Update for Our Patients with UnitedHealthcare
We want to inform our patients that our contract with UnitedHealthcare may be terminated as of August 1, 2025.
We understand the impact this may have on many of our patients, and please know we are actively working to negotiate an agreement to remain in-network with UnitedHealthcare. Our goal is to ensure continued access to the care you know and trust.
👉 If you are currently pregnant or undergoing an ongoing course of treatment, rest assured—you will continue to be treated as in-network until your care plan is complete.
We encourage all patients to contact UnitedHealthcare at the number listed on the back of your insurance card to express your concerns about Capital Women’s Care potentially becoming out-of-network.

💥 The Pap Posse Hits the Mud! 💥

Today, Capital Women’s Care proudly got down and dirty for a great cause! Our team—The Pap Posse—took part in the 25th Annual Mudd Volleyball Tournament, supporting the incredible work of the Washington County Community Free Clinic.

We’re honored to stand alongside so many other local organizations, raising funds to help provide healthcare services for those in need in our community. Thank you to the tournament organizers, volunteers, and everyone who cheered us on (mud splashes and all)!

Our phone lines are experiencing delays with limited access, and we are working diligently to get it back in service.
We are still able to receive inbound phone calls, but there may be a delay in getting through. We ask that if you are experiencing difficulty in getting through, to please hang up and try again.
To our OB patients that think they may be in labor and would need to speak to someone during this time, please contact Meritus Labor and Delivery at 301-790-8421. However, we do ask that you attempt to contact our main office number first as we are here in office. *PLEASE NOTE, this number is only to be utilized by pregnant patients who think that they are in labor and need immediate assistance*
If you think you are having a life-threatening medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Requirements: 2 years of experience related to call center and appointment scheduling, OB/GYN preferred. Strong communication skills and phone etiquette. Ability to relate effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Self-motivated, dependable, able to multi-task and team oriented, knowledge of insurance plans, medical terminology and electronic medical record experience a plus.

We want to share that Dr. Kristina Torrence will be leaving our practice at the end of July. While we’re sad to see her go, we fully support her as she begins an exciting new chapter.
Dr. Torrence has been a valued member of our team, and we’re grateful for the care and compassion she’s shown to so many of our patients.
