ADAC’s Hagerstown office will be operating on a delay and opening at 10am Monday January 20th. Please follow warnings and guidance about the freezing temperatures today, and stay warm!

With the polar vortex approaching, temperatures are expected to drop dangerously low. If you or someone you know is without a safe, warm place to stay, shelters are available to provide refuge and warmth. Please see the list of shelters below.

Tips to Stay Safe:
✅ Avoid unnecessary travel once the storm begins.
✅ Dress in layers to retain body heat.
✅ Check on elderly neighbors and those with limited mobility.
✅ Bring pets indoors—they are vulnerable to extreme cold too.

Remember, no one should be left out in the cold. If you encounter someone in need, please contact local emergency services or the nearest shelter for assistance.
