Jan Kline is a dedicated healthcare professional with more than two decades of experience serving seniors and families across Maryland. She grew up in Middletown, Maryland, where she completed high school and attended the Career and Technology Center, earning her CNA/GNA certification in geriatric care. At just 15 years old, Jan began her career at a nursing home in Frederick, launching a lifelong commitment to compassionate healthcare.
Following high school, Jan became a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and gained valuable experience in geriatrics, school health, hospice, home health/private duty, and physician office settings. Known for her strong work ethic, she often balanced multiple roles at once, at times working three jobs simultaneously. She later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree from Frederick Community College and transitioned into assisted living, where she has devoted more than 15 years of service.
Throughout her career, Jan has been passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through skilled care, advocacy, and meaningful relationships. In her role at Discovery, she has continued to grow professionally while making a positive impact on residents’ lives. She values the supportive, collaborative leadership and embraces Discovery’s culture of excellence in senior living.
Jan has been married for 23 years and is the proud mother of three children, ages 22, 13, and 11. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, especially swimming and riding ATVs during the summer months. At home, she and her family care for a lively group of pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, fish, and their newest addition—a bunny.
With a strong foundation in healthcare, deep community roots, and a genuine passion for service, Jan remains committed to enriching the lives of seniors and supporting families with compassion and professionalism.
