Last week was another wonderful day volunteering at the Salvation Army soup kitchen. Our clients showed incredible teamwork preparing and serving meals, cleaning trays, and warmly greeting guests as they arrived for a hot meal. Seeing the smiles as meals were served made it a truly rewarding experience. 💗

We had such a great time volunteering at Star Community Equestrian Center! 🐴💛
From feeding farm animals to grooming Bubba and giving Little Annie a spa day (complete with a braided mane!), our clients loved every minute — barn chores and all. The ride home was filled with excitement and talk of coming back.

Huge thanks to Holly and Monica for welcoming us and giving our women such a meaningful experience! 😊

💙 Giving Back & Making an Impact 💙

Last Thursday, several of our clients volunteered with Micah's Backpack at the Maryland Food Bank Western Branch from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM — and what an incredible experience it was!

Our group worked hands-on in the warehouse, each assigned to pallets filled with essential food items like canned tuna and chicken, cereal, yogurt, granola bars, pretzels, and other pantry staples. As pallets moved through the line, we packed and prepared food orders, then helped load vehicles as organizations arrived to pick up supplies for families and children in our community.

Knowing that our hard work directly helped put food in the hands of children who need it made the day especially meaningful. 💛 And after a productive morning of teamwork, everyone enjoyed some well-earned pizza and cookies!

We are so proud of our clients for giving back, working hard, and supporting efforts that make a real difference right here in our community.

🎄 Giving Back This Holiday Season 🎄

Last week, a few of our clients had the opportunity to volunteer at Girls Inc. Washington County and it was such a meaningful afternoon!

Together, we filled stockings with lots of fun goodies and helped spruce up the space by wiping down and disinfecting toys, sweeping and vacuuming floors, cleaning tables and chairs, and washing windows — all to help ensure the girls have a clean, welcoming place to come to after school.

We are incredibly grateful to Girls Inc not only for allowing our women to give back, but also for the thoughtful holiday gift they provided to Lasting Change as a thank-you. 💕 Partnerships like this truly make the season brighter for everyone involved.

So proud of our women for showing up, giving back, and spreading holiday cheer! ✨

✨ Last week, the Lasting Change family volunteered with the Salvation Army for Angel Tree Distribution Day.

Our clients worked hard to help ensure families received their children’s Christmas gifts, and we were truly moved by the love and generosity shown throughout the community. Seeing families supported with both gifts and essential items was a powerful reminder of what this season is all about. 💛
