Every day inside our offices, people make quiet, courageous choices.

They tell the truth about how they are really doing. They let themselves be seen. They take small, steady steps toward healing, even when it feels hard.

This nomination is not about us as much as it is about this community - the trust you place in this work, and the belief that care, connection, and support matter.

If Aspen Grove Wellness has been part of your story, or if you believe in the importance of thoughtful mental health care in our community, you can cast a vote once daily through March 8th. Your voice helps ensure this kind of care continues to exist and reach those who need it.

We are grateful to walk alongside you. Always.

Some conversations save lives.

On March 21, Aspen Grove Wellness will be walking alongside the VCU community in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk for su***de prevention. We walk to honor the lives impacted by su***de. We walk to reduce shame and silence. We walk to remind people - in visible, tangible ways - that they are not alone.

If you feel moved to be part of this, there are meaningful ways to show up:

• Walk with us. Your physical presence matters more than you realize.
• Donate. Your support helps fund education, prevention, and life-saving resources.
• Share this post. You never know who might need to see it.
• Have a conversation. Check in on someone. Ask how they’re really doing. Stay present long enough to hear the answer.

Healing happens in connection. Prevention happens in community. And hope grows when people are willing to stand beside one another in the light.

If you would like to join our team or support the walk, you can use the QR code in this post or click the link in our bio.

We would be honored to walk alongside you. 🌿

Every day, we witness people choose themselves in ways that are quiet and brave.

This community is built on those moments, on people showing up, telling the truth, and allowing themselves to be seen and supported. It is the greatest gift to hold space for this work.

If Aspen Grove Wellness has positively impacted you or someone you love, voting in Best of the Tristate is open daily through March 8th.

We’re grateful to be part of this community, and honored to do this work alongside you.

Friendship is not a luxury. It is a biological need.

It regulates our nervous systems.
It lowers our stress hormones.
It reminds our brains and bodies that we are not alone in the world.

Research is clear. Connection changes our physiology. It softens the edges of pain. It increases resilience. It quite literally helps us stay alive.

And yet, so many people are quietly moving through their days feeling disconnected. Doom scrolling. Powering through. Telling themselves they’re “fine.”

If this is you, start small.

Text the person you miss.
Sit beside someone who feels safe.
Let yourself be known, even just a little more than yesterday.

You were never meant to do this alone.

Connection matters. Friendship saves lives.

Today our admin team is out of the office.

Not because we are stepping away from the work, but because we are sharpening it.

We are in the classroom with , investing in leadership, business development, and the kind of operational clarity that allows our team to focus fully on care.

At Aspen Grove Wellness, growth is never accidental. We believe that if we want to create the kindest room in town, we also have to build the strongest foundation behind it.

Strong systems support soft hearts.
Clear leadership protects clinical excellence.
Intentional business strategy allows meaningful connection to thrive.

When we learn how to lead better, communicate better, and build smarter, our clients feel it. Our clinicians feel it. Our community feels it.

We are students today so we can serve better tomorrow.

Thank you for cheering us on as we continue to grow with intention.

Today, Aspen Grove Wellness turns four!

And what we are really celebrating is not a business, but a group of extraordinary people.

Four years of therapists and staff showing up with open hearts. Four years of listening to stories that take courage to tell. Four years of sitting with grief, growth, fear, hope, and everything in between. Four years of answering emails late at night, squeezing in one more phone call, and offering steadiness to people who needed a safe place to land.

Aspen Grove is not made of walls or calendars or systems. It is made of human beings who choose, every single day, to care deeply about other human beings.

To our clinicians who do sacred, often unseen work - thank you.
To our coordinators who hold everything together with patience and grace - thank you.
To every member of this team who brings warmth, kindness, and integrity into these spaces - thank you.

And to our patients - thank you for trusting us with your stories, your struggles, and your lives. It is an honor to walk alongside you, and we never take that trust lightly.

You are all the heart of AGW. You are the reason this place exists. You are what makes Aspen Grove feel like Aspen Grove.

Here is to four years of meaningful connection, and to the people who make it possible. 🪴

We were excited to welcome Kyle Zachwieja from The Idea Center to Aspen Grove Wellness this week for a tour of our office and to talk about some exciting projects we have planned.

Conversations like these energize us. At Aspen Grove Wellness, we believe innovation and collaboration are essential to expanding access to high-quality mental health care. Kyle brought creativity and a shared commitment to building solutions that truly meet our community’s needs.

We are in the early stages of planning several big initiatives for 2026 focused on increasing access to mental health services, strengthening partnerships, and thinking differently about how care can reach people who need it most.

Great things are ahead, and we are grateful to be building alongside partners who share our vision. Thank you, , for helping us light the way.

Attachment theory reminds us that we heal in relationship.

So much of what brings people to therapy was shaped in spaces where connection felt inconsistent, unsafe, or uncertain. In therapy, something different becomes possible - a steady, attuned relationship where trust can grow, nervous systems can soften, and new patterns of relating can take root.

This is why endings feel bittersweet. Not because dependence was created, but because secure connection was.

And when that connection has done its work, clients carry it forward into their friendships, partnerships, parenting, and inner worlds.

That’s the quiet magic of this work.

Last night, members of our Aspen Grove Wellness team showed up for the VCU MLK Keynote Celebration, and we left feeling deeply grateful.

Community isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we practice. It’s showing up late on a weeknight. It’s sitting shoulder to shoulder with neighbors, students, educators, and change-makers. It’s listening, learning, and letting ourselves be moved.

Dr. King reminded us that connection, justice, and collective care are not passive values. They require presence. They require courage. They require action.

At AGW, we believe healing happens in relationship - not only in our therapy rooms, but also in classrooms, auditoriums, neighborhoods, and shared spaces where people gather with intention. When we show up together, we strengthen the roots that hold our communities steady.

Thank you, , for hosting a powerful evening of reflection, inspiration, and hope. We’re honored to stand alongside you.

Here’s to gathering.
Here’s to showing up.
Here’s to doing this work together. 🌿
