The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics Parkway division would like to highlight our hand and upper extremity specialists: Meredith Cirtwell, OTR/L, CHT and Ryan (JoJo) Adams, OTR/L.
Meredith graduated with her occupational therapy assistance degree from Herkimer Community College in 1992 before earning her bachelor’s degree from Utica College of Syracuse University in 1997. Throughout her career, Meredith has worked in various settings including acute care, skilled nursing care, and outpatient hand and industrial rehab. Meredith became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2007 and today she has over 26 years of experience in treating hand and upper extremity injuries. Meredith has a special interest in the treatment of traumatic injuries as well as in the fabrication of custom splints. Meredith is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapy and the Capital Hand Therapy Association.
JoJo graduated from Duquesne University in 2016 and Chatham University in 2018, earning a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. After earning his degree, JoJo and his spouse became travel occupational therapists, and they took assignments in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, California, and Texas. During this time, he had gained experience treating patients in long term acute care, independent living, and in skilled nursing facilities. In 2019, JoJo moved to Maryland, and he began working as an outpatient hand and upper extremity therapist. He now has over 4 years of treating experience in the outpatient hand therapy setting and he intends to sit for the Certified Hand Therapy exam within the next year. JoJo has a special interest in the treatment of sports related injuries. JoJo is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapy and the Capital Hand Therapy Association.
