My kitten Mittens is only 8 weeks old. We have been taking care of him, his brother and their mother since they were born. He was taken out of my yard (9/29) after school on Bester Street by neighborhood kids. He is still nursing and is missed by us all. Please call me at (240-217-7794) if you have seen him. THIS is the dog "Bella", who was involved in the fatal tractor-trailer accident on I-81 last night. Sadly, her owner, a truck driver, perished in the tragedy and Bella sustained severe injuries, most likely from going thru the windshield. She had pelvic bone fractures, cuts & burns, and will probably need to have her back leg amputated. (Thank you Dennis Bumbaugh, of Better Days Animal League for picking her up & transporting her to Mountain View Animal Emergency). She was transferred to another local vet once she was stabilized and they are currently taking good care of her. We understand arrangements will be made to deliver her back home to the family in Georgia when she recovers. A gofundme account has been set up to help with the cost of her care. IN HAGERSTOWN MD - I am lost, please contact the Antietam Humane Soc. at 717-762-0996 if you have seen me! I am a 3yr old male very timid Sheltie named Ozzy. Lost near the Hagerstown Airport. Last seen going into a very heavy wooded area off Penn Ave beside the Act II store at 1:30 am Sunday morning. He is wearing a red collar w/tags, his hair is shorter due to a recent summer cut. Thank you for the help.

Found this sweet girl this evening (1/24) along Route 40 West near Crystal Falls Dr (Boonsboro/Hagerstown, MD). She jumped right in our car. Very sweet, very skinny the poor thing recently had babies she was leaking milk. She is now at Washington County Humane Society and she was scanned for a microchip but didn't have one. Can anyone foster or adopt this sweet girl ASAP??? Her name is Lucy, she is 7 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines. House broken and crate trained. She is very good with kids, cats and other dogs. Lucy weighs around 35 pounds. She is very, very friendly, never aggressive in any way. She loves anyone who will give her attention.
