We hope you’ll join us at the C&O Canal Days Car Show, in memory of Jone Bowman, next Saturday, August 23rd from 10 AM to 2 PM. All cars are welcome—no judging, just a fun day for car lovers and the community. Enjoy over 90 new and restored cars and trucks, plus 1,000+ model vehicles on display. Food and drinks will be available. It’s just $10 to show your vehicle or $20 per vehicle for the car corral. Admission is free, and all proceeds benefit Doey’s House. National Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7th. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award still presented to U.S. military members. It is only presented to service members who have been wounded or killed by enemy action while in active combat serving in the U.S. military. This day gives Americans a special opportunity to remember and honor the nearly two million brave men and women to receive this honor. Please join us in recognizing all Purple Heart recipients. Whether you're baking or tasting, it’s a great day to enjoy delicious treats and support a meaningful cause. All proceeds benefit Doey’s House, the only inpatient hospice unit in Washington County.
