🎉💚 A Major Milestone for Eliza’s House! 💚🎉

We’re proud to share that Eliza’s House has officially received our first CAD grant, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

The room was filled with artists, educators, nonprofit leaders, and community champions—all gathered with one shared belief: the arts make Washington County stronger.

During this inspiring event, $38,000 in FY2026 CAD Grants were awarded to 13 outstanding organizations representing theater, music, libraries, wellness programs, and more. Each group is opening doors for our community to discover, experience, and participate in the arts.

And today, Eliza’s House joined that list for the very first time. 🌿
We’re deeply honored and excited to continue our work with this incredible support.

To everyone pictured—and those not in the photo but present in spirit—thank you for the creativity, dedication, and heart you bring to Washington County.

A special thank you to the Maryland State Arts Council for making these grants possible. Together, we’re building a more vibrant, creative, and connected community. 💚✨

💚✨ SHOUT OUT TO THE STUDENTS OF AWARD BEAUTY SCHOOL! ✨💚

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming this amazing group of students to Eliza’s House today! Their teachers brought them up during class to explore the bookstore, learn about our mission, and show support — and our hearts are full. 🌿📚

Thank you, Award Beauty School, for taking the time to visit, connect, and pour into community spaces like ours. Your presence brought so much joy to the house yesterday!
