✨🦷 This week our Judy Center families focused on building healthy habits in honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month! Our little learners explored being a Dentist and practicing toothbrushing and enjoyed reading the book, Brush, Brush, Brush! together. 😁📚

Starting dental care early helps set the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles! Here are a few helpful tips for our infant and toddler families:

👶 Infants:
• Begin cleaning your baby’s gums with a soft, damp cloth even before teeth appear.
• Once that first tooth pops through, use a small, soft-bristled toothbrush with a tiny smear (rice-sized amount) of fluoride toothpaste.
• Schedule baby’s first dental visit by their first birthday.

🧒 Toddlers:
• Brush twice a day using a rice-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste (a pea-sized amount once they turn 3).
• Encourage brushing, but remember grown-ups should help and supervise.
• Offer water between meals and limit sugary drinks and snacks.

Healthy habits start early, and we love partnering with families to support whole-child wellness — from head to toe (and tooth to tooth)! 🪥💙

Great seeing so many of our Judy Center families last night at our “My Special People” Celebration! 💕✨
Families enjoyed some wonderful quality time together, dancing the night away and celebrating the special people in their lives. The smiles, laughter, and sweet moments shared on the dance floor were truly heartwarming.
These are the kinds of special family memories that last a lifetime — and we are so grateful to be a part of them! 💃🕺💛

We loved having families join us yesterday at Brooke’s House Coffee for “A Cup of Coffee and a Moment to Connect.” ☕💛
It was such a joy watching our families connect with one another, share stories, and build new friendships. We were also excited to meet some new families and welcome them into our community!
A very special thank you to the amazing staff at Brooke’s House for warmly welcoming us and providing such a delicious variety of muffins. Your hospitality made the morning even sweeter! 🧁✨
Moments like these remind us how important it is to slow down, sip some coffee, and truly connect. Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🥰

School was back in session today and our Judy Center families were happy about it—because that meant we could kick off the afternoon with an amazing family engagement event at 4 Star Athletic Complex in Williamsport! 🎉
Our little ones had the BEST time tumbling, jumping, and bouncing on the trampoline with Ms. Donna and Ms. Stephanie. So many smiles, giggles, and happy energy all around—we loved every minute! 🤸‍♀️💙

If you or someone you know would like a box, stop by 128 N Prospect St. and pick some up! The gate will open tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.

‼ ALL OF THE BOXES HAVE BEEN HANDED OUT‼
Due to the large number of early arrivals and resulting traffic congestion on surrounding streets, we decided to open the gates earlier and distribute the boxes. We are grateful to have helped as many as we could.

EDIT: We wanted to clarify a few questions some may have! The boxes are first come first serve basis. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to do deliveries, but someone else can pick up on your behalf. Unfortunately you cannot go through the boxes, whatever you are unable to eat you can pass along to another friend. The area will be open until 3:00 or until we run out.

Due to the snow, a HelloFresh delivery truck wasn’t able to complete its route. Instead of letting the food go to waste, they generously donated all 22 pallets, and we’re excited to share it with our community! 🥕🥦

If you or someone you know would like a box, stop by 128 N Prospect St. and pick some up! The gate will open tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.

We hope everyone can bundle up and enjoy a little snow play. ⛄️

We hope everyone can bundle up and enjoy a little snow play. ⛄️

Playing in the snow isn’t just fun—it’s a powerful, whole-child developmental experience!
❄️⛄ Here are some of the key benefits:
❄️ Gross Motor Development
Walking, running, climbing, sledding, and jumping in snow all challenge balance, strength, coordination, and endurance. Snow creates natural resistance, helping build lower-body and core strength.
❄️ Sensory Processing
Snow offers rich sensory input—cold temperature, changing textures (powdery, crunchy, wet), and visual contrast. This helps children learn to tolerate, interpret, and regulate sensory information.
❄️ Body Awareness & Motor Planning
Uneven, slippery surfaces require kids to adjust movements in real time, improving proprioception, spatial awareness, and problem-solving (“How do I move without slipping?”).
❄️ Fine Motor Skills
Scooping, packing snowballs, building snowmen, and using mittens or gloves all strengthen hand muscles and coordination—especially important for developing grasp and dexterity.
❄️ Executive Function & Self-Regulation
Cold weather naturally slows kids down and requires planning (layering clothes, pacing movement, staying safe). Following rules, taking turns, and managing frustration in tricky conditions support emotional regulation.
❄️ Social Skills & Creativity
Snow play invites collaboration, imaginative play, and shared problem-solving—building forts, making tracks, or inventing games together.
❄️ Confidence & Resilience
Navigating a challenging environment helps kids build confidence, adaptability, and persistence when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Snow turns the outdoors into a giant, fabulous development boosting gym—supporting strength, regulation, creativity, and connection all at once 🌨️💙
