Today was a sweet time at our Judy Center! 🍰
We enjoyed hearing from Michele of Michele’s Bakery, who shared helpful tips and tricks for decorating cakes. While the adults had some quiet time learning new decorating techniques, our littles had fun playing in the Judy Center. Then everyone came together for the best part—parents and children decorating cupcakes side by side!
Experiences like this support both parent and child learning. Parents gain new skills and ideas they can bring home, while children build confidence, creativity, and strengthen bonds through shared, hands-on activities. It’s a wonderful way to learn and grow together!
A special thank you to Michele for sharing her time and talents with us—we loved learning from you! 💕
We’d also like to thank our WCPS Judy Center staff for coming to Lincolnshire to support this event, and our Lincolnshire staff for helping make it such a fun and memorable experience. We appreciate each of you!

This morning, our Judy Center families enjoyed a fun and hands-on workshop all about how food grows! 🌱
Children explored how pea plants grow, tasted fresh pea shoot leaves, and planted their own seeds to take home and nurture. We also enjoyed a simple, healthy pea snack while talking about how delicious and nutritious vegetables can be!
Experiences like this help little ones build curiosity, try new flavors, and learn where their food comes from—encouraging healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
A big thank you to Ms. Ashlie from the Maryland Food Bank for leading this engaging and educational experience! 😍 A special thank you to Jaelynn for volunteering to help with this event. 💚

Our Judy Center families love JAMMING with Mr. Tony Music 🎶
From clapping hands to dancing feet, our little learners are building so many important skills through music! 🎵 Music helps support early child development by strengthening language skills, improving memory, encouraging movement and coordination, and boosting social-emotional connections.
Plus… it’s just SO much fun to sing, dance, and learn together! 💛

Such a beautiful day at Hagerstown City Park with our Judy Center families and Healthy Families as we came together for a fun Spring Fling! 🌸☀️

Families enjoyed a nature scavenger hunt, creative nature crafts, decorating flower pots, lots of laughter on the playground, and of course—some yummy food to top it all off!

We love partnering with our community to create joyful, meaningful moments for our families. 💛🌼

Springtime smiles were everywhere this morning at our Judy Center! 🌸🐰
Our families had a blast enjoying a fun-filled egg hunt, exciting games, and a very special visit from the bunny himself! Little ones were all smiles as they explored, played, and celebrated together.

🍀✨ Leprechaun fun at the Judy Center! ✨🍀

This week our Judy Center families had a magical time reading How to Catch a Leprechaun! The excitement didn’t stop there—we built a clever trap and… guess what… we caught one! 😄🌈
Families also got creative with festive shamrock crafts💚

Hands-on activities like these spark imagination, build problem-solving skills, and create joyful learning moments for our little ones. ☘️

Our Judy Center Playgroups explored emotions and feelings together! Through stories and play, children practiced recognizing different emotions and learning ways to express how they feel.
Talking about feelings helps young children build social-emotional skills, develop empathy, and learn how to communicate with others. These early experiences are an important part of healthy child development.
💡 Tip for families: When your child is having a big feeling, try naming it for them: “It looks like you’re feeling frustrated. Let’s take a deep breath together.” This helps children learn the language of emotions.

🎶 Our Judy Center families are loving music time with Mr. Tony Music! 🎶
There’s nothing like seeing our children light up as they sing, move, and play along. Music isn’t just fun—it’s also a powerful tool for learning and development. When children engage with music, they build language skills, listening abilities, memory, and coordination. Singing songs helps strengthen vocabulary, rhythms support early math and pattern recognition, and movement with music encourages motor development and self-expression.
Music time with Mr. Tony Music also creates wonderful moments of connection between children, families, and our community. These shared experiences help children feel confident, engaged, and excited about learning.
