Meet our newest little local celebrity 🦆💛

This is “Duck Duck.”
He was rescued after coming out of a storage drain, and a year later he’s thriving and living his best life!

Over time, he’s become a familiar and comforting sight around The Orchard, and we like to think of him as our unofficial resident mascot. The residents love spotting him and watching him waddle around — he brings smiles wherever he goes!

We were so blessed to have students from Lighthouse Christian School come visit and sing for our residents! 🎶

Their performance brought so much joy to everyone in the room. The residents absolutely loved it, and the children did such a wonderful job.

It was a special time filled with smiles, music, and sweet moments that meant so much to all of us.

Here’s a look at our activity schedule for the week of February 8th–14th!

From chapel and singing to exercise, bingo, and music time, our residents have a full week of movement, fellowship, and fun ahead. ❤️

We’re especially looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day together on Saturday with music and smiles to share.

We feel so blessed to spend each day creating joyful moments, staying active, and making memories as a community.

Please keep our residents and staff in your thoughts as we continue to care for one another and give thanks for all our blessings.

The residents had such a special visit this week! 💙

Students from Lighthouse Christian School stopped by to sing for everyone, filling the halls with music, smiles, and so much joy.

From the little ones to the older kids, their songs truly brightened the day and brought back sweet memories for many of our residents.

Moments like these remind us how powerful community connections can be.

Thank you, Lighthouse Christian School, for sharing your time, kindness, and beautiful voices with us. It meant more than you know!

❄️ Bitter cold evenings call for cozy moments ❄️
A few days ago, during the cold snap and light snow flurries, our residents in House 3 stayed warm and made the most of the evening together.

They enjoyed hot chocolate, shared plenty of laughs, and spent time playing board games — with bingo being the clear favorite of the night!
It was a simple, sweet reminder that even on the chilliest days, warmth can be found in good company and fun activities.

We hope everyone in our community has been staying safe, cozy, and warm through this stretch of crazy winter weather. 💙

This week (January 25th–31st), our residents are staying active, connected, and uplifted with a full schedule of meaningful activities—from chapel and music to bingo, exercise, and fellowship.

✨ Highlights this week include ✨

• Chapel service & singing to start the week
• Exercise sessions with Brittany
• Bingo fun with Dot, Marie, and Carolyn
• Music & singing with Karen, Kim, and Pat
• Saturday’s Sustained Glass group—bringing gospel and popular music to the chapel 🎶

We’re grateful for each moment of joy, movement, and togetherness shared here. Thank you to our wonderful staff, volunteers, and families who make The Orchard such a special place to call home. 💙
