* Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong fund: Focusing on rapid response and working with local nonprofits to understand community needs.

* Maui Food Bank: Collecting and distributing food to help the hungry in Maui County.

* Maui Humane Society: Supporting shelters for displaced people and animals, and caring for injured animals. Emergency fosters also sought.

* Maui United Way: Providing direct relief to families and nonprofits.

* The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division: Providing food and resources for evacuees.

* Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement: Matching up to $1 million in donations for Maui fire victims as of Thursday afternoon.

Addressing and assisting with the Complex Cancer care Needs through advocacy, navigation, education and care coordination as we identify barriers to care and provide interventions.

Our Navigation exists because it provides value to patients and their families.

What we assist and do :
■ Facilitates timely access to care
■ Helps overcome barriers to care
■ Positively impacts patient care outcomes
■ Supports coordination of the care for the patient through the entire cancer care continuum
■ Improves patient outcomes through education, support, and performance-improvement survey metrics
■ Facilitates communication between patients, family/caregivers, and the healthcare team
■ Helps lower patient and family distress
■ Helps patients identify financial and other support resources including co pay assistance, insurance , accessing unaffordable drug related to cancer treatment plan and more

Several years ago my wife was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. My wife is now doing well and improving every year. Without help from Christina Martini, I don't believe things would have worked out so well. It is difficult to explain just how incredible Christina was. From insurance denials to doctor scheduling, co-pay assistance programs, and almost everything else she was always there to quickly sort through complicated issues.
