When I first began building my mission and my vision with Zen Valley Acupuncture, there was one very clear, resonant word humming through my mind and my heart…. C O M M U N I T Y ✨

One can practice stillness, breath, movement, and healthy living habits in the privacy of their home and individual body 🏠 BUT, unless we are using, and applying ‘the work’ to improving the world around us, then what is the real point but getting ‘spiritually high’ 👀

These workshops are a culmination of many of the modalities I have dedicated my life to learning, and an offering to my community, to my home town to practice them together, to connect, and integrate the many threads of healing in an accessible setting 🌱 ✨🧡

The real medicine is the love you have for yourself by walking through the door, and together, we can increase the intensity of our own ripple into improving the relationships around us, and thusly throughout the world. Can’t wait to see you there 🙏

My sweet patients, family and friends….

It’s been a while since I have made a personal connection on my social media, I have been very hard at work pursuing my DAcCHM - my Doctorate in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization Degree, while also pursuing my DCCM which is a post graduate program in Canonical Herbal Medicine which is focused on a very specific lineage of herbal medicine from the Han Dynasty 🌿🫠

Ooof! It’s been a long time coming with my studies and my personal and professional growth and experiences have been nothing but a whirlwind to say the least 😂

With that being said, thank you. You are all such a gift to me, I’m honored to be chosen to help facilitate your journey, hold space, hold your hand, and walk this world with you 💕

WITH THAT BEING SAID, I can’t wait to continue evolving in my community, creating accessibility, and connecting deeper with you all 🤝 ✨

My beautiful friends it’s that time again, to come together, reset and rejuvenate as we begin to enter the Spring season, associated with the element of Wood, this is a time for new beginnings, new blooms, and a renewed sense of energy, purpose, and planning 🌱 🌼 ☀️

It’s been a long winter of rest, and it’s time to begin tending to our garden beds to plant the seeds of intention for the year ahead ✨ 🐉

It’s true though 🤣

The number one thing you can do to keep the immune system strong this season… slow down, and breathe 🧘🏼‍♂️

Elevated cortisol (our stress hormone) is linked to higher inflammation and lower immunity. Yes, proper nutrition, exercise, herbs and supplements we all know are helpful. BUT, those can often be used as band aid responses for not actually taking the time to take care of yourself…

Popping some zinc and elderberry lozenges while running around day to day with high stress and a thousand to do lists (speaking from personal experience 🙃) WILL NOT keep us healthy. Reducing the size of that to do list, scheduling work, play, and errands around self care and slowing down should be the number one priority as we move into what is known as ‘sick season’

If we can live in alignment with nature and slow down with the sun, we can find more balance in everyday life ☯️

If you haven’t joined in for one of these workshops, it’s a beautiful way to down regulate the nervous system, and enter a state of mind that promotes healing, and deep relaxation. Coupled with the power of acupuncture and vibrational frequencies, it’s a symphony of peace, and serenity for the body to decompress 🪷
