I missed doing a Live chat on Sunday so here is my Thursday with Mahu:
Validation.
I had a couple insights on validation and acknowledgment this week that popped up in quite a few conversations.
We explain ourselves to people, we relive traumas, we relive old outdated identities to people, we repeat old stories over and over again, as if to seek validation and acknowledgement from other people; as if somehow their validation of your story and emotions makes YOU relevant and VALUED. Giving away all of your power.
Therefore, in a room full of people, your identity is how you project yourself from those previous identities, leaving behind the magic of the moment and who you have become as a result of all the choices, and all the experiences that were meant to teach you.
💎 The moment you can validate your own story, is the moment you no longer need to explain who you are to ANYONE. You RADIATE it. You allow YOU to be seen. You take back your power. 💎
When you can spend time acknowledging your own path, and validating your own emotions... the need to explain yourself in any situation diminishes. Your emotions, your quirks, your gender, your sexual preference, your triggers. That is where true connection with people in authenticity, begins.
When I do sessions with people I often just open up the space and allow their stories and intentions to unfold.
The beauty of all of this is every time someone asks a question they can most certainly answer it themselves. It’s been “nagging” at them, it’s been something they “felt” like they should do. The only thing I do most of the time is allow the space for THEIR OWN clarity. How? By acknowledging the each person.. and validating how they are feeling. Not by saying it’s right or wrong.. but by seeing it... with them. In its raw form.
Emotions, stories, paths, traumas, past..
Today.. Give yourself permission. Take back ownership. Live yo life.

(Actually I was on my way to New Orleans to live my best life at Jazzfest) but... you get it.
