Congratulations to Shannon, our first-place title holder in the 2nd Annual Forest Ridge Chili Cook-Off. Placing second and third: Nikki & Carly. Residents sampled and judged seven staff-prepared chilis to pick the winners!

We were joined by our good friends at the Hales Corners Fire Department, who even brought some of their chili (show offs!) to show us how it's done. Thank you, volunteers, for your help serving!

The Forest Ridge Train Club is off to a great start. The second meeting was held last week in our newly renamed Train Room (formerly the Founders 3rd Floor Meeting Room). Members discussed materials, costs and more.

Note: this club isn't just for the fellas! Our many creative residents with crafting & painting skills may be a big help to create scenery for some of the seasonal setups. Join us at the next meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 2 pm to learn more. All residents are invited!

Forest Ridge residents are invited to a special Lenten reflection led by Forest Ridge resident & Secular Franciscan Michael Groark, former manager of Holy Hill Bookstore. It's a series of six sessions before Easter meant to foster casual sharing & discussion.

No materials are needed but sign-up is required. Look for separate sign-up sheets for each week on the counter adjacent Founders Bistro. The sign-up for week No. 6, with special guest Fr. James Kubicki, is available now and will close to residents on Friday, March 6.
