Today a client asked me why I chose the name Black Lotus Massage & Wellness. I thought I’d share my “why.”
When creating my business, it was important to me to choose a name that felt unique and something that blended both feminine and masculine energy since I love working with both women and men.
🖤 Black is my favorite color—bold, grounding, and strong.
🌸 Lotus is a beautiful flower that I love, one that grows out of the mud and reminds us that even in dark times, we can rise, shine, and grow.
Black Lotus is about honoring every part of ourselves. Sometimes that means showing compassion when we don’t love what we see in the mirror, or celebrating progress when we finally reach a new milestone in movement or flexibility. Both the struggles and the triumphs matter—because just like the lotus, growth comes from both mud and light.
Together, “Black Lotus” symbolizes resilience, balance, and transformation—the heart behind every massage experience I offer.
My hope is that everyone who enters this studio feels this.
