🚨Community Health Update – Please Read🚨
We are seeing very high numbers of Flu cases in our area, along with increased RSV and COVID infections. These viruses are spreading quickly, and we need everyone’s help to slow the spread!
‼️If you are sick, please stay home. Do not go out unless you need to seek medical care. We know this is Christmas week, but if you or your children are ill, please strongly consider postponing gatherings until everyone is well. This small decision can make a big difference during this viral season.
🛑 How to help prevent spreading illness:
* Stay home when sick
* Wash hands frequently with soap and water
* Cover coughs and sneezes
* Avoid close contact, especially with infants, elderly family members, and those with weakened immune systems
* Clean commonly touched surfaces
* Wear a mask if you must be around others while symptomatic
🦠Most of these illnesses are viral. Viruses typically require supportive care (rest, fluids, fever control, symptom management). Antibiotics do NOT treat viruses and will not make you better if the illness is viral.
⚠️ Children and the elderly are especially vulnerable and can become very sick very quickly. Please be mindful of exposing them. Let’s look out for one another so everyone can enjoy the holidays healthy and safe.
Thank you for doing your part to protect our community! As always, we are here if you need us.
