🏆 Athlete of the Month Spotlight: Emme Romine 🏀🎉

We are proud to recognize Emme Romine as our Athlete of the Month! Emme is a junior at Haleyville High School and a true multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball, softball, and cheerleading. Her dedication, work ethic, and team-first attitude shine through in everything she does—both on and off the court.

After graduation, Emme plans to attend the University of North Alabama, where she will pursue a degree in nursing. When she’s not busy with athletics or school, Emme enjoys staying active and spending time with friends. She is the daughter of Will and Christe Lee Romine, who have been wonderful supporters of her journey.

Emme, we are so excited to have you as our Athlete of the Month and can’t wait to see you back on the hardwood soon! We wish you nothing but continued success and great things ahead in 2026 and beyond.

🌟 Patient Spotlight: Jaxon Wilson 🌟

This month, we are honored to spotlight an incredible young man—Jaxon Wilson—whose strength, determination, and positive spirit inspire everyone around him. Jaxon has congenital muscular dystrophy and has also undergone spinal fusion, yet he continues to show us what perseverance truly looks like.

Jaxon shares that he chose Encore Rehabilitation – Haleyville because “it is like family.” He has been a patient with us since he was just 4 years old, and over the years, he has built strong relationships with his therapy team. Jaxon says he knows his therapists will push him—not because it’s easy, but because it helps him become more independent.

“My therapists help me be more independent by teaching me things I can do and helping me build strength,” Jaxon shared. His commitment to working hard in therapy and his willingness to challenge himself have led to meaningful progress and growth.

Jaxon, we are so incredibly proud of you—of your hard work, your determination, and your drive to become more independent. Thank you for trusting us with your care and for allowing us to be part of your journey. We are truly honored to spotlight you this month! 💙

Bryan is a Winston County High School student-athlete, competing in both football and basketball for the Yellow Jackets. His dedication, hard work, and commitment show both on and off the court and field.

After high school graduation, Bryan plans to attend trade school, continuing to build a strong future through determination and skill.

Bryan is the son of Crystal Pool and Zack Wilson!

We are proud to recognize Bruce Treece as our Patient of the Month! Following a Guillain-Barré Syndrome diagnosis in August, Bruce experienced a loss of all lower-extremity function. Through determination and the support of our skilled therapy team, Bruce has made remarkable progress.

Bruce worked diligently in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to regain movement, function, balance, strength and overall well-being.

Bruce shares:

“Physical therapy and Occupational Therapy has helped me become less dependent on cane usage and has helped increase my lower extremity function from no movement to partial movement as well as improved my well-being with positivity. Meet Enoch Jones, PT, DPT!
Enoch is a Regional Director with Encore Rehabilitation and a licensed Physical Therapist with extensive experience in industrial rehabilitation, sports and orthopedic rehab, dry needling, and blood flow restriction training. Enoch has been a Physical Therapist with Encore Rehabilitation for 17 years.

Enoch is certified in multiple Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) systems and frequently performs AMA 4th and 6th Edition Impairment Ratings. His background includes FCEs, impairment ratings, workplace and physical demands analysis, post-offer and pre-employment screenings, fit-for-duty evaluations, and agility testing — making him one of Encore’s most versatile evaluators in complex industrial cases.

He has presented at the Encore-Uhler Sports Medicine Symposium and the Alabama Workers' Compensation Organization conferences, taught AMA impairment rating courses, and has been published in the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy.
