St Alphonsus will return to the Humana network starting Jan. 2026. Pine Eagle Clinic continues to accept Humana. Unfortunately, St Luke's Health System is dropping Humana at the start of the new year. The good news for those continuing with Humana is that there will still be options for diagnostic imaging and specialty care at St Alphonsus in Baker. We are happy to help with any transitions from the St Luke's system.

The more than 650 Baker County residents who are covered by a Humana Medicare Advantage health insurance plan might have to pay more than in the past for care at St. Luke’s hospitals and clinics in Idaho, including St. Luke’s Clinic-Eastern Oregon Medical Associates in Baker City.

We have been told that the Safeway pharmacy is closing today, May 5. We know that this is stressful for people who need their prescriptions filled. Please be patient with your local pharmacies; they are working hard to ensure we all have the needed prescriptions.

We are working hard to reach a fair agreement before our current contract runs out, but we need Humana to do the same—and put patients first. Our request to Humana is simple: to be paid fairly and in line with Medicare.

Kate Grace, PA-C will be out of the office all week. The clinic will remain open on the 23rd and 24th until noon for clerical services. The clinic will be closed the 25th and 26th. We will return Monday, December 30th.
