Halifax County Health Department provides immunizations and health assessments for children entering Pre-K and Kindergarten, as well as required 7th grade immunizations. Appointments are available Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. Call us at 252-583-5021 to schedule an appointment. Please bring your child’s immunization record to your appointment.

We’re having a great time here at the 4-H Talented Teens 5th Annual Kickball Tournament/Resource Fair at River Falls Park in Weldon! Lots of youth and their families in attendance incorporating physical activity into their day and the weather is great!

It's National Breastfeeding Month and WIC Breastfeeding Week!

WIC supports breastfeeding year-round by providing free counseling, guidance and educational resources, 1-1 support from peer counselors and lactation experts, and healthy food packages. For more information contact the Halifax County WIC office at 252-535-4845.
