When we travel to new places, we often feel like outsiders looking in. But on this retreat, we had an immersive experience that allowed us to truly connect with the local culture. During our time in Buenos Aires, we not only visited the tourist hotspots, but also delved deeper into the city's culture. We practiced yoga in the house of a local teacher, experienced tango the way locals do, and dined at some of the city's best restaurants frequented by locals.

In Bariloche, we were treated to some of the most breathtaking views imaginable. As we explored the area on foot and by car, we felt a deep connection with nature and with each other. Although the challenges of the terrain were present, we tackled them together as a group of friends united by our love of life. Overall, this retreat was a truly transformative experience that allowed us to connect with the world in a meaningful way.

Dear Friends and Lovers of Yoga,

By now, many of you have heard the news that Geeta Iyengar will be unable to attend the 2016 IYNAUS Convention in Boca Raton in May. Of course we are all disappointed not to be able to receive her teachings in person, but we send Geetaji our love and best wishes for rest and good health.

I encourage all of you who planned to attend the 2016 IYNAUS Convention to come to Boca Raton in May and to practice together under the guidance of Abhijata Sridhar, Guruji’s granddaughter. Abhijata, who learned directly at the feet of her grandfather for many years, is carrying the legacy of Iyengar Yoga into the future. We honor that legacy by gathering together with our fellow students, teachers, and disciples of Guruji at our national convention. IYNAUS volunteers have been working tirelessly to organize the convention at this beautiful hotel and resort, so I sincerely hope that you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to share in our love of Iyengar Yoga.
