✨ We are so excited to REintroduce you to Emily Parkinson, our certified lactation consultant who recently returned to Citizens Birth Center!

Emily graduated from Texas A&M in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health. In 2013 she completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Houston - Victoria with top honors. She has 9 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care and 4 years as a lactation consultant.

After experiencing breastfeeding challenges with both of her children, she became passionate about helping other women to be successful on their breastfeeding journey. In late 2019, Emily became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Now, Emily is using her lactation skills and training to assist and educate her patients at Citizens Medical Center’s Birth Center.

Hey, y’all! I’m Emily Parkinson, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse. I have 10 years of Labor and Delivery experience and have been a lactation consultant for 5 years. I fell in love with helping mammas learn how to breastfeed in the hospital and now I want to reach all mommas who need my help! I am a mommy to three littles who gave me lots of first hand experience as well. I am so excited to bring my consulting services to this part of Texas! I service Lavaca, Victoria, Colorado, Dewitt, and Fayetteville counties. If you are looking for help or encouragement at any point in your breastfeeding or pumping journey (from prenatal classes to weaning), please reach out!
