Chakras are energy centers in the body, typically visualized as spinning wheels or disks, believed to influence physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The most common system recognizes seven main chakras, each with a specific location along the spine, a corresponding color, and a unique function.
Here's a brief overview of the seven chakras:
Root Chakra (Muladhara):
Located at the base of the spine, associated with stability, grounding, and survival.
Sacral Chakra (Svadhishthana):
Situated between the tailbone and the navel, linked to creativity, pleasure, and emotional well-being.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura):
Located in the abdominal area, associated with personal power, self-esteem, and confidence.
Heart Chakra (Anahata):
Positioned in the center of the chest, connected to love, compassion, and emotional openness.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha):
Located in the throat area, associated with communication, self-expression, and truth.

Multiple chakras can be affected by stress, including the third eye chakra, solar plexus chakra, and sacral chakra.

Third eye chakra
The third eye chakra is associated with stress, depression, and overthinking. It's located between the eyebrows and is represented by the color indigo.
An imbalance in the third eye chakra can lead to headaches, eye problems, and spiritual disconnect.
Meditative poses like yoga mudras, child's pose, and guided meditation can help rebalance this chakra.
Solar plexus chakra
The solar plexus chakra is associated with stress, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. It's located in the abdomen, above the navel.
Deep-belly breathing can help activate the solar plexus chakra and align energy.
Sacral chakra
The sacral chakra is associated with anxiety, emotional detachment, and instability in relationships. It's located in the center of the pelvis or sacrum.
Traumatic experiences like emotional abuse, neglect, or sexual trauma can disrupt the flow of energy in the sacral chakra.
Chakras are thought to be focal points of energy throughout the body. When chakras are clogged, it can reduce the flow of healing energy to the body.

We are alive because ki or life energy flows through us and when left alone, it is directed by the innate intelligence of the organs and tissues of the body. When this is the case it is called genki which means original ki or healthy ki. When a person is young it is mostly genki that governs ones health. However, ki is influenced by our thoughts and feelings and as a child’s mind develops the functioning of ones ki is affected by the ever more sophisticated nature of one’s thought processes. If one has positive healthy thoughts, ones health will be enhanced, but if one has negative, unhealthy thoughts, byoki or unhealthy ki will develop. Byoki will surround various organs and tissues of the body diminishing their function and causing unbalance and weakness in one’s health. If the byoki persists, it can lead to illness. This process is the cause of most health problems.
