Thank you to any and everyone who helped make this rainy rainy Memorial Day celebration special. Even with cancelling the Ceremony and only having the fish fry; it was AWESOME! So many showed up and I am SO thankful to be able to serve and honor you all. Special thanks to Judge Jim Hudson and wife Denise Hudson for the cooking.

This Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025, all veterans and their spouses are warmly invited to a day of appreciation, fellowship, and a delicious meal on the grounds of the Ashley County Courthouse in Hamburg, Arkansas.

This event is free of charge and exclusively for veterans and their spouses — a small token of gratitude for the sacrifices you have made. Come spend the day with Ashley County Judge Jim Hudson and Ashley County Veteran Service Officer Cheryl Bailey as we honor your service and commitment.

Due to the anticipated increase in traffic, street closures, and the carnival setup in the parking lot of the Courthouse for the World Famous Armadillo Festival, the Ashley County Judge has ordered the closure of the Ashley County Courthouse on Friday, May 2, 2025. This decision has been made to help ensure public safety and support the logistics of the festival.

The Crossett Annex, located at 303 North Main Street in Crossett, will remain open during regular business hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, to accommodate the public. County business may still be conducted at that location during this temporary closure.

Rural garbage routes will continue running on Friday, May 2nd. Please place your trash out the night before and leave it out until it is picked up. We appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone enjoys the festival safely.
