After agonizing over the thought for several months, we made the decision that the future of Osteria 166 needs to take a different path.

We have pivoted and shifted so many times in the past few years to keep our dream - our baby - going. This decision is another necessary pivot.

The dining and hospitality landscape has shifted dramatically, especially in downtown Buffalo. We have to shift with that moving tide or get completely washed away.

We are blessed to work with the absolute best team in the world, and we owe it to them to keep our Osteria family doing what we do best - serving the guests who make our Osteria family complete. That's what this decision is all about.

The love and support of our guests has made Osteria the special place it is. The past 12 years have been beyond what we could have imagined when we opened our doors. Our gratitude is beyond words.

To clarify what you may have seen, we will be open throughout the summer Thursday, Friday and Saturday for dinner service. Meatball Street Brawl will continue this fall. Your gift cards will still be good at Osteria, Villaggio and with Occasions. And if you need a place for a private dinner, happy hour, party or event—call us—we got you.

Osteria will still be a part of your lives, just in a different way.
