Today we are sharing some fun facts about our founder Ashley! 💜

💜I’m a new grandma (and yes I was the doula!)

💜I am a huge swiftie, that is clear to all who step into the doors of our perinatal wellness center where there are dozens of Tay Easter eggs (IYKYK)

💜I had my first baby at 18 and adopted my second at 21.

💜I run a doula program at the women’s correctional facility in Niantic providing childbirth ed, lactation support and birthing support to incarcerated parents.

💜I opened my doula agency after seeing a Facebook post of another doula agency was closing and I contemplated buying it. It was not in my plan to run an agency but when I saw the post something inside me said “here is your next step”.
That didn’t work out so I started with a small team of 3 doulas and over the past 5 years we have grown to a team of 12 and serve hundreds of families a year.

💜I always thought that I wanted to be a teacher, but once I had my first son and started interacting with other new parents at playgroups I realized that my passion really lied in working with parents and not children. People say to me all the time “oh my gosh, your job must be so fun! You must get to see so many cute babies!” However, for me very very little of my work has to do with enjoying babies. My calling is to support parents and help them reach their potential so they can love on their babies- not me!
