The biggest misconception in orthopedics is that you need an image to figure out why you’re in pain. The reality is most images such as X-rays and MRI’s will show normal and expected age related issues such a arthritic change in joints and disc degeneration in the spine

However, most pain that people experience is either not caused by these findings or one of multiple other dysfunctions going on which cause pain.

Movement dysfunction is not able to be seen on an image. But observing a patients specific movement patterns can lead your directly to the true source of your pain by finding muscles which are not creating proper control of your body.

Think outside the box and diagnose beyond what may be seen on an image!!

PSA: Did you know that you don’t need a physician referral/prescription to begin physical therapy? Call us today 2033894593 to avoid unnecessary and costly imaging and get to the root of your pain!
