Clients come to me for all sorts of reasons and in this case, Vanessa came to me for strength training. She wanted to learn how to get strong in the gym safely, using free weights, machines and body weight exercise exercises. In this video, she’s doing a tricep cable press down.

One of my favorite analogies is be “strong like a tree,” have a strong core like a tree trunk, which translates to strong limbs and strong branches. We did core first to prepare for heavier lifts and were finishing with triceps at the end of the workout.

Fitness in your 30s hits different.

Recapping a week sandwiched with Spartan races!

I’m extremely proud of my team for competing for the first time and finishing with no new injuries, mission accomplished! 5 new racers and 5 new medals 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅

Everyone trained hard and raced hard and the results show it! The races were so good everyone said they want to do another one! Keep an eye out for more later this year 😎 I’m stoked for the future of !!

✨ Fun facts about why I got into training ✨

▶️ I wanted to build fitness into my life

▶️ I saw my peers in the industry making a good living and living a good life

▶️ I love positively impacting others’ lives

▶️ I want to move good and feel good and share that with others

▶️ I had a lot of close friends in the fitness industry who I looked up to and wanted to be like them

▶️ I love moving my body and get to do that regularly and share that enjoyment with others

▶️ Being healthy is important to me

▶️ I truly enjoy helping people feel strong and great in their bodies, I’m your biggest cheerleader

▶️ I get to work in a fun and fast changing industry, yet the basics always remain the same

▶️ Seeing loved ones struggle with their health crystallized how important one’s health is

▶️ Personal training and fitness coaching has been a journey that I continue to enjoy everyday
