ANTONIO'S on Route 5 in North Haven . AN OVERLOOKED GEM. Owner Christian makes excellent pizzas and his specialty, panini on his own lacy , crunchy, cotton soft round panini rolls . Look at my chicken cutlet, cheese, brocolli rabe and roasted pepper pannini and it was only $ 9.50 !! They also had 2 daily special pannini : 1) Mortadella, roasted red pepper, fresh moots and balsamic dressing and 2) Hummel hot dogs , cheese , peppers , onions, tomato sauce just like our grandparents made ! They also have calzones, subs, wraps, giant grilled chicken Ceasar salads, and excellent entrees like calamari and beans cooked in a fresh- herded marinara and salmon piccatta that are to die for.

A dear old friend of mine just died suddenly, tragically of a heart attack at the young age of 48. He was a graduate of Notre Dame of West Haven , Yale University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and entered to priest hood where he served as pastor for some local churches in New Haven County. He was a wonderful and extremely unselfish human being. I have such fond memories of us walking on the Farmington Canal path discussing politics and laughing hysterically intermittently. He was such an amazing person who, as intelligent as he was, would start talking to people in the next booth when we went out to Modern for a pie as if he were just an ordinary person. He never played the intelligent card, the spiritual card, or any other machination or pretense. It was simple: If you talked to him he was your friend. The world is a very lonely place without my friend John. I haven't talked to him in about 5 or 6 years ( he was always very busy leading his beloved flock with his parish, I with children and a busy dental practice) but as with real friends the needle was on the record where we last left off ready to pick up at that spot. Unfortunately we will never get to hear that beautiful music of our friendship again and it really hurts! I miss you my dear friend. Rest in peace great man !

Twice in one week ! Another angel visited the office this week . This was Aniyah, today , who at only 3 years old was so excited to jump in the chair on her own and have me care for her. Bravo Aniyah and Bravo Mom ! We just had to give her this certificate of excellence!

I got to teach her a bunch of bones in the face and head on the human skull model and she pronounced them perfectly, even the tough ones ! GREAT JOB BELLA ! It was so much fun!
Bella's Mom, who's been a patient since she was not too much older than Bella here, posted:
"Another great appointment at the dentist!❤️ Bella learned so much about all the different names of all the various facial bones.💀"
