We’re building a team rooted in collaboration, integrity, and whole-person care. ✨❣️☯️

Hawthorn Holistic Health is growing, and we’re looking to add inspired and compassionate practitioners to our team! If you know someone amazing in the healing arts — think massage therapy, energy work, holistic bodywork, or wellness support — we’d love for you to send them our way.

✨ A quick note: To maintain healthy boundaries and uphold the highest standard of care, we do not hire current or past patients of the practice. Thank you for understanding and helping us preserve this supportive space.

If someone comes to mind, please forward this email or have them reach out directly by dropping off their resume, calling or emailing hawthornholistichealth@gmail.com to connect.

We do have a few practitioners we are already in the process of working with, so keep an eye on our socials, website and for more emails introducing the new team members.

MOXA SZN . 🌿🔥🍁✨☯️ As autumn settles in, our joints often remind us of the change in weather. Moxibustion—warming the body with the herb mugwort—brings gentle heat to support circulation, ease knee pain, and strengthen resilience.
This simple practice helps harmonize the body’s energy with the season, offering both comfort and grounding as we transition into fall. 🌿🔥🍂

This practice also nourishes Kidney qi, offering deep support for vitality and longevity. Especially for women’s health. Moxa aims to regulate the cycles, build energy, and warm the system, addressing cold, stuck, period pains and imbalances due to deficiency. Many women patients are more deficient and need their qi and blood to built up, grounded and gently tonified versus using points that can be too moving or overstimulating (and actually end up leaving them feeling anxious or drained). Gotta fill the well before you turn the water on! ✨

It is always a good time teaching alongside my mentor and friend Dr EZ! At last weekends herbal fun shop we walked the grounds for 2 hours learning about the local, wild medicines, some might call weeds. 🤓 We honored, gave thanks, gathered and processed the wild plants, with some of our favorite Gilberties garden herbs, to make a potent winter wellness cough formula, a healing skin salve and smudge sticks. Check the last slide for some equinox ☯️✨ magic in the salve pot!

Thanks to all who came for your enthusiasm and curiosity ! If you have pictures or videos, please share them with us 🥰🌿✨

🍂☯️✨as the sun sets on summer, we reflect on the equinox. This is a moment of perfect balance between day and night. It is a seasonal reminder to pause and notice where balance (or imbalance) shows up in our own lives.

As the days grow shorter and the air crisper, this shift invites us to turn inward—nourishing our bodies with warming foods, supporting our lungs and immune system, and letting go of what no longer serves us.

Nature reminds us that change is not only inevitable but also deeply restorative. When we align with these rhythms, we support resilience, renewal, and health on every level.

Wishing you a grounded, restorative season ahead.

You can feel it all around you, the fall energy shifts are upon us 🍄🍁🍂🥣✨ our sound bath and balancing acu event on Friday Oct 3rd aims to ease this time of transition.

Kelvins leads you through a magical portal of sounds, calming and healing through frequencies. Paring it with a balancing acupuncture treatment, allows us to provide a uniquely resonate experience.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn is governed by the Metal element and the Lung–Large Intestine pair, a time for refining, releasing, and tending our defenses and the boundaries between inner and outer. Gentle practices like acupuncture, slow belly breathing, sound healing and walking in nature support the body’s turn inward. Like the trees letting go of their leaves, make time to release what no longer serves you and build resilience for winter.

Also I had fun making this flyer 🤓🍄💫

🌼⚡️Spilanthes: the beloved electric daisy !
This vibrant flower isn’t just fun—it’s functional. Known for its tingling, numbing sensation, Spilanthes acmella has traditionally been used to support oral health, reduce inflammation, and stimulate lymphatic flow.

✨ Research suggests it has antimicrobial and immunomodulating properties, making it helpful for gum health, infections, and even as a gentle immune tonic.*
It’s like a botanical spark plug—activating saliva, circulation, and your senses!

Have you ever tried Spilanthes? 💛

*Studies:
• Spilanthes has shown antimicrobial effects against oral pathogens (J Ethnopharmacol. 2009)
• Demonstrated immunomodulatory activity in preclinical models (Int Immunopharmacol. 2011)
