Our residents have been enjoying a fun lineup of events, including engaging visits from our talented entertainers. Jim captivated us with an exciting talk on the Artemis program and the future of space exploration, while Herb led a meaningful and informative Women’s History lecture that sparked great conversation and reflection.

We also indulged in a delightful wine tasting experience with Jill from Cellar Hand Secrets—a true treat for the senses! And to top it all off, a lovely outing to Tipple & Rose Tea Parlor gave our residents a charming afternoon filled with tea, treats, and great company. From educational programs to delicious experiences, Spring has been full of joy and connection. We can’t wait to see what May brings! 🌷

We are proud to share a special moment from our community ❤

Thanks to the incredible participation and generosity during our February Fitness Frenzy, we were able to present a donation check to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen! What started as a month of movement, motivation, and friendly competition turned into something truly meaningful for our local community. Our residents and staff came together with energy and heart, proving that staying active can also make a positive impact. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this possible.

Special shoutout to our top fundraisers - Mitsue & Charlotte and our amazing fitness instructor, Amy for creating countless ways to move our body!

This month's resident spotlight is Phyllis Silverman! Phyllis was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, she began a remarkable 42‑year career as a Medical Technologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where her precision, compassion, and dedication touched countless lives. Her life’s sweetest chapter began the night she met her husband Gary Silverman at a club in Long Island. Together, they welcomed two children, Marc and Jodi, and later a beloved grandson, Leo, whose musical gifts have even brightened the days of residents at Azalea. The moment she visited Azalea at Hamilton, she felt a sense of comfort and belonging. Phyllis is full of delightful surprises, including her talent for cake decorating. She has crafted countless beautiful cakes for family and friends. She also loves dancing, reading, and especially playing Mahjong with her dear friends at Azalea, where her presence brings warmth to every gathering. Those who know Phyllis speak of her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and the kindness she offers so naturally. Her story is one of love, dedication, and grace, and her presence remains a gift to all who know her.

Say hello to Ashley, one of our amazing chefs at Azalea at Hamilton! 🌟 Ashley is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Food Services and Business Management. She brings warmth and dedication to her role as Sous Chef and her friendly personality, strong work ethic, and genuine care make her a favorite among staff and residents. She has an upbeat, infectious energy and a love for creativity, whether she’s experimenting with new recipes, dancing, listening to hip-hop, R&B, or house music, or diving into her passion for makeup. Ashley found her way to Azalea through an Indeed application, and Joe immediately recognized the talent and spirit she would bring to our community. We are incredibly grateful he did. Ashley has been a gift to our team from day one!

Our community had a sweet time getting creative with spring cookie decorating! 🌸🍪 Residents enjoyed bringing their cookies to life with bright colors, fun designs, and plenty of sprinkles. From flowers to pastel masterpieces, each cookie was as unique as the person decorating it!

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season, share some laughs, and of course—enjoy a delicious treat together. Spring never tasted so good! 💕
