Today, we celebrate our Hospitalists, 300 physicians and 130 advanced practice providers, across RWJBarnabas Health. Hospitalists are physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work exclusively in hospital medicine. They coordinate care for hospitalized patients and collaborate with community primary care providers to ensure continuity of care when a patient leaves the hospital.

The support group focuses on any issues or concerns they may have come across since they completed the program, provides continued education on a topic of their choice and features guest speakers from other disciplines. Dave has also volunteered a portion of his time to bring Finn, his therapy dog, to interact with some of our patients.”👏👏
