We Stand United Against the proposed 2026 CMS Home Health Cuts
At Family Support Care, we stand in solidarity with the Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice, home health providers across the state, and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice in opposition to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) CY 2026 Home Health Proposed Rule.
🚨 What’s Happening:
The proposed CMS rule would slash home health payments by 6.4%, totaling over $1.1 billion in 2026 alone. Home and community-based care has consistently proven to improve outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. These cuts would do the opposite: undermining a system already under pressure and threatening the health and independence of millions of Americans.
❗ This Rule Will:
Reduce access to care during a growing healthcare workforce crisis
Destabilize an already fragile home health delivery system
Fail to meaningfully address fraud, waste, and abuse
Set back progress toward a sustainable, patient-centered healthcare future
