Welcome, Tyler Peckham, LPCC, to Kettering Health Medical Group Behavioral Health!

Tyler is a mental health counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages. He sees patients in Beavercreek.

Tyler says he always wanted to be able to support those around him. In the community where he grew up, mental health was overlooked, but he is thankful that in his house, mental health was supported.

In his spare time, Tyler enjoys weightlifting, being a father, and collecting shoes.

It's Sunflower Sunday! 🌻

Congratulations to Angela Jiles, Soin Medical Center's Sunflower Award winner!

Angela is a nursing assistant who received two nominations for her excellent care. Whether it's giving a patient a bath, changing their bed sheets, or bringing them their lip balm, Angela approaches every patient with compassion.

"She went above and beyond to demonstrate care and compassion," said the first nomination. "She made me feel special and gave me a little hope that I was getting better."

The second nomination also praised Angela's attitude and care: "Angela was just wonderful."

Congratulations to Sandy Bramble, Kettering Health Main Campus's DAISY Award winner!

Sandy was nominated by a patient's family member, who appreciates Sandy's patience and care during their mother's hospital stay. Sandy also helped the family by explaining all of the medical terminology she used, making them more comfortable and confident.

"We cannot stress enough how Sandy's extraordinary assessment skills fueled productive conversations between ourselves, the surgical team, and rest of staff," the nomination says.

This past weekend, we participated in the Dayton Dragons Cancer Awareness Game!

Our Breast Evaluation Centers, Women's Health, Renew Boutique & Spa, and Community Outreach teams met with fans before the game to schedule appointments and raise awareness for healthy living.

Michelle Gnagey, a Kettering Health employee and breast cancer survivor, threw the first pitch.

"I'm grateful for early detection, effective treatment, and the caring, professional team that supported me throughout my journey," said Michelle.

It's DAISY Day! 🌼

Congratulations to Chad Schaurer, Kettering Health Dayton's DAISY Award winner! Chad was nominated by a cancer patient who was admitted to the hospital after experiencing bad back pain and vomiting.

"From the time he walked in my room until we left," the nomination says, "he was a blessing."

The patient thanks Chad for being gentle with them and minding their pain spots. They also thank Chad for always reassuring them when the pain got unbearable, telling them that it would get better.

Chad made the patient feel special and comforted during a difficult time.

"He had many other patients," the nomination says, "but he never forgot me."
