❄️ What Is Snow Blindness?
Snow blindness is a painful but temporary sunburn of the eye caused by UV light reflecting off snow and ice. Symptoms can include eye pain, redness, watering, light sensitivity, blurry vision, or a gritty feeling—often appearing hours after exposure.
Most cases improve within 24–48 hours, but if symptoms are severe or don’t get better, contact Big Sky Eye Care at (406) 363-2020.
🕶️ The best protection is prevention: wear UV-blocking sunglasses or ski goggles anytime you’re outdoors in bright, snowy conditions—even on cloudy days.
Stay safe and protect your vision this winter!
