Breath is the Bridge Between Mind and Body

The sounds of silence — the kind that are felt more than heard — arrive through the breath as it fills the spaces between firing synapses and the thousands of thoughts popping off at any moment.

The breath brings a kind of mellowness, allowing cohesive, weighted decisions to form from what first feels random or separate. Thoughts shoot in all directions, like popcorn kernels in hot oil, yet the breath gathers them into one corral — a group of one instead of a scattered spectrum.

Each thought remains its own, but when gathered carries more weight, more momentum. They begin to move together, like cattle being herded or birds flocked in flight — individual yet unified.

Your strength lies in that melded cohesion.

Breathe clarity into your thoughts.

Is there ever too much mindfulness? Or too much experiential embodiment?

You will know — again — by feeling into your body.

If you are using mindfulness, meditation retreats, or anything as a form of escape from your life, then possibly.

These are additions — gifts to add to your life experience.

Like sprinkles on a cake, enhancing the flavor, the zest, or even the presentation.

The breath, or any form of mindful practice, is meant to fully embody and appreciate — not replace or cover up.

Use all the tools available — the ones that suit you, that you feel a connection with — to enhance your life experience.

Live life fully: the highs and the lows, continuously moving and benefiting from each and every encounter.

Do exactly what’s right for you.

That is the felt sense.

Each person has different tastes, desires, and dreams, so there is no single right or wrong — no one felt-sense prescription that works for everyone.
