We had 5 boats show for a picture perfect day, nice and cool and had the lake to just us. Did have a sailboat race in the middle of the lake which I enjoyed running though with my 9.9 kicker and having Randy come back to the back to add extra wake ! Its my way to protest their only 9.9 hp. no idle rule. Well Dave Fricke did it again with Aaron. At this point we have to accept he's the best around and ready for the Elite's. A few of us will be happy to see him go. (Not Me but others). He has to be in the lead for Team of the Year by now. He's snatching the extra 600 # and plaques from Tim & Austin like he took Poor Wes's New Rod & Reel from him at Brush. Thanks to all that came, it was fun. We will have a Wednesday 9/24/25 at Tanners in September and Next week Saturday 9/6/25 Brookville and 9/20/25 at Geist.

Well Fricke and Kurt did it again ! Fricke proving the level he is. I just hope Wes doesn't see these results. It was a nice cool day for August to fish. We had 10 boats show ! It was fun to fish and not work. We have a tournament this Saturday at Cowan. That lake puts out big bags ! Took 15.59 to win there in August the last time we fished there. See you guys there ! We are getting close to the classic on Watts Bar! Same rules as it has been for the passed couple of years. Off Limits will begin the 1st of October and will go until 2 days prior which will open up the practice period 10/23, and 10/24. You must fish 8 events to qualify, if you have 7 fished you can buy one tournament for $80. Let me know if you have any questions in regards to the amount of tournaments you have fished. Hope to see some guys who need some tournaments at Cowan next weekend!

Our pass member and friend Curt Cox passed this week. Curt was one great guy that was a great local Bass fisherman that was in the Westside club when I joined it in 95 when Chuck Howard ran the club. He was a father and a great carpenter that framed houses which is hard work and you have to be smart with math and on your toes ! He later became the Franklin County building inspector.
He enjoyed reading and was a big lover of our local history. But the big thing about Curt was, he was humble smart and would go out of his way to help someone if needed. Good sense of humor. We will all miss him. He was 55 and had heart problems for decades, some real problems that he didn't let keep him down. We feel for his family. Everyone was so much better to have Curt in their lives.

We had 9 boats for a not quite so hot a day. Some nice bags weighed in. As you can see Dave Fricke does it again. Little Wes went out and bought a Fan so he could be as cool as Fricke. (Not Kool like Kool) Cool as in temp. Wes now believes Dave is hands down the best tournament Bass fisherman in the whole local area !
He and Aaron may catch Tim & Austin and take the Team of the year again proving the level they are ! Its hard seeing your little nephew (Wes) that use to think your the s**t, now demoting you for Dave. But that's life in the Bass fishing world. Your only one cast from being ashamed. Thanks to all that came ! We will have a Wednesday Tanners event on 8/27/25. And the next weekend event is at Cowan 8/30/25. That lake puts out BIG bags this time of year. See you at both Dennis.
