We see you Dr. Alonzo! We will let one of your patients do the talking for us.

"His excellence, professionalism, personal touch, surgical talent, miracle work and knowledge rendering my blindness to site! All that he has done for me, to trust him, to recommend him is beyond my ability to put words in place to describe these things… I can see my aged face again, but I can also see my son’s beautiful face and I wasn’t sure I was going to see it ever again. My experience with Dr. Alonzo is ineffable. My thanks goes beyond tangible, the verbal, the audio, the site, the touch, and the depth of my very being, and I am forever grateful. Thank you." - Happy Patient

Meet Debbie Anderson,

My husband and I moved to the Bitterroot Valley (Stevensville) a couple of years ago as we had vacationed in the area for the past 15 years and fell in love with it. It has been a dream to build our forever home here, and last year that became our reality! We are enjoying working our land and learning all about growing hay, raising chickens, gardening and hope to add some cows, goats and horses in the next year. Definitely a learning curve, however we are loving it!

We have two adult children living in Bozeman that visit as much as they can, and they both hope to relocate to the Bitterroot within the year. We all absolutely love Montana and especially the people. Some of the kindest people we have ever met!

Although my degree is in Developmental Psychology, my background is in Human Resources and Benefits and have worked in high technology, large school districts and the beverage industry. I love working at Bitterroot Health because I have always loved helping people. Although it is behind the scenes, working prior authorizations quickly is always in the best interest of the patient as they are able to get scheduled as quickly as possible and is one less thing they need to be concerned about. Insurance is so confusing to so many people, so if I can be a small part in helping in that area, it makes me happy.

“Karen Wolsky is a phenomenal RN who goes above and beyond on a weekly basis for her patients. Her empathy is admirable, often making patients feel not only like patients but true friends. She regularly goes out of her way to ensure her patients get the best care possible. She even gives her personal cell phone number to some patients who can use a little extra TLC, which I have never witnessed before in my career. The Bitterroot Valley is extremely lucky to have her.”

Meet Dawn Gettings

My name is Dawn. I have been a CMA for 12 years, the last 10 have been with BRH/Marcus Daly. I started out in patient access at BPC or the Hamilton Clinic as we know it now. I then went to the coumadin clinic/lab. I helped open the Darby Clinic in 2016. In 2019 I helped open the Urology office. I have floated and worked in every clinic from primary to urgent care to specialty at BRH minus the Eye Clinic. I am currently back in Urology. Urology is by far my favorite clinic. I am often asked why it's my favorite. My answer is always "it's the most complex but the most rewarding clinic". I never dreamed of being in the medical field, until 2010. My husband became very ill in January of 2010 and in April of 2010 my oldest son (12yrs old at the time) was in a 4-wheeler accident and broke his femur. I worked retail full-time, was taking care of my husband and my son plus our other 4 boys. My husband had to have weekly plasma injections. So, a nurse came to our house to teach me how to do them. That is when I knew I wanted to help people and decided I wanted to pursue the medical field. I wanted to go for my RN but I didn't have the time to do that program. That is when I found the MA program. I am nationally certified. I am so thankful for all the opportunities, experience and knowledge that I have gained with BRH. In my free time I enjoy camping, riding my 4 wheeler and spending time with my grandbabies.

05/13/2024

Meet Morgan Puderbaugh,

When I moved to the Bitterroot Valley, I had no previous experience in a hospital setting. I moved here having been a mill worker for the last several years. When I started at Bitterroot Health, almost two years ago, I worked in patient access in the Cardiology department. About six months ago, I got the opportunity to move to the Sleep Center. I now work night shift as a sleep tech, setting patients up for sleep studies and CPAP titrations. I'm currently enrolled in the A-STEP program and am working towards becoming a registered polysomnographer. This opportunity wouldn't have been possible without Bitterroot Health taking a chance on me.

I enjoy what I do because the testing done in the Sleep Center can lead to a better life for patients through improved sleep. I also enjoy working as a sleep technician because every night I see something different and am always learning something new. Working as a sleep tech has the potential to offer me a career that I can grow with. I love chatting with the patients during the setup portion of the night and getting to know them. Some of these chats have led to offers to assist me with improving my quilting and an offer to be given pottery lessons. I appreciate the patience and support I have received from numerous patients during the ongoing learning process.

My days off are spent hanging out with my family, going to concerts, and going on various adventures with my dog or aunt. My current schedule allows me the fortune of being able to travel on my days off, which has recently included trips to Utah, Florida, Wyoming and an upcoming road trip to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Meet Allison Rust,

Hi, I am Ally Rust a CMA here at BRH Hamilton! I have worked for the hospital in the years past and I am so thankful to be back! I have been a medical assistant for almost 6 years now and love being a part of my patients care and helping them get the care they need. It is very fulfilling when you get to see your patients make personal progress and growth with their health or other things they are working toward. I love being able to see all the different faces and getting to know every patient even if it's in a little way so I can connect with them. I work really hard to be patient, kind, caring, and understanding so I try to smile every day for every patient because I don't know what their day brings. I do truly love my job!

I have lived in the Bitterroot Valley for 12 years now and am a Montana native. I love being outdoors mainly riding my horses, I like to trail ride and compete in barrel races, and o-mok-see's. I do get to compete with my younger brother, mom, and grandma so it is a lot of fun! I enjoy being on the water with my dogs and family or going to explore hot springs with friends!

A fun little fact, I never knew I wanted to be a medical assistant or in medicine at all, I always thought I'd do something with animals. So, when I was about to graduate high school, I had to take a horse to the vet, and he asked me what I wanted to do and told him I was not sure. He told me to become a medical assistant since you can use it for people and animals, so that is what I did, went to school, and got a job in pediatrics. I am so glad that I stayed on the path that I did because I love helping my patients and being able to go above and beyond for them!

Meet Seth Wiley,

I am devoted to helping my patients return to their favorite activities, hobbies, and recreational endeavors. I understand that injuries are debilitating, surgeries daunting, and the journey to recovery can be tough to navigate. I love working at BH because I believe that my core values as a physical therapist align with their goals for the Bitterroot community and beyond. This allows me to guide patients down the right path and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle that allows them to maximize their rehabilitation potential and return to a full and vibrant life.

I was drawn to physical therapy to help others achieve their greatest potential after life’s challenges. Whether they were injured during a sporting event, skiing their favorite slope, or from the wrath of icy Mother Nature, I want to see my patients succeed in regaining their mobility and independence.

A majority of my time is spent outdoors with my animals, family, friends, and partner. I also enjoy volunteering on ski patrol to continue to help those in need during the winter months. When I cannot get away from my home, I can be found tinkering in the garage, and planning my next adventure. I’m Seth Wiley, Physical Therapist at Bitterroot Health.

Meet Tira Bowen, Chronic Care Management RN at Bitterroot Health!

Since joining Bitterroot Health in 2018, I've embarked on an incredible journey, starting as a Med/Surg RN, progressing into Surgical Services, and now, as a Chronic Care Management RN, I specialize in supporting Medicare Beneficiaries with chronic health diagnoses.

My role involves coordinating care with patients, caregivers, primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, and community resources. I aim to empower my patients by providing a deep understanding of their health conditions and educating them on maintaining optimal well-being. Together, we navigate their doctor's instructions and ensure they receive the care they need.

What I love most about my job is the ability to help our community members lead healthier lives. By educating patients about their diagnoses and connecting them to valuable community resources, we make managing chronic health conditions more accessible. Healthcare can be challenging to navigate, but I'm here to simplify the process and provide support every step of the way.

On a personal note, I grew up in Iowa and raised my family in Kansas. As a former mechanical engineer in the United States Navy, I've always had a passion for learning. That's why, even as a single mom, I pursued my nursing degree and went on to earn my BSN. Currently, I'm excitedly working towards my Masters of Legal Studies in Healthcare Law, set to graduate in December 2024!

In my free time, I love to explore the great outdoors and go on adventures with my boyfriend. We enjoy hiking, fishing, floating the river, hunting, and even running in races (come cheer me on in the Missoula Half Marathon!). We also enjoy cross-country skiing during the winter months.

Join me on this incredible healthcare journey as we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can conquer any challenge and create a healthier future!
