The 1st Annual Senior Living Culinary Challenge is here — an American Culinary Federation competition celebrating the passion, creativity, and skill of chefs redefining dining in senior living.

We’re proud to have 10 StoryPoint Group chefs competing alongside peers from across the industry, all showcasing dishes that bring comfort, joy, and flavor to the seniors they serve every day.

The competition will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the GFS Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI.

🌸✌️ 5th and Final Day of our Generation of Innovation: Retro Rewind – The 60s! ✌️🌸

We wrapped up Generation of Innovation Week with a groovy celebration of the music, culture, and style of the 1960s! Residents and guests filled the house for Noah Back’s “Peace, Love & Happy Hour” performance, bringing the sounds of the decade to life. 🎶

Our community was decked out in flower child style, with bright colors, bold patterns, and plenty of peace signs. Residents and staff had a blast capturing memories in our recreated 60s/70s living room thats been set up in our cafe all week long- making it a picture-perfect finish to an unforgettable week.

Here’s to celebrating innovation, nostalgia, and the joy of coming together! 💛

Our 3rd Annual Car Show was a huge success during Generation of Innovation Week! Residents, families, and friends enjoyed an incredible lineup of classics and modern rides—each one showcasing the evolution of style, innovation, and memories on the open road.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we also raised $2,491 for the StoryPoint Fairfield team’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s fund. 💜

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who brought their cars, joined the fun, and supported this meaningful cause.

Additional thanks goes out to Lanny White and Tammy Powell of Vigor who provided our entertainment and Tikiz Of Cincy and Butler County for all the yummy treats!

Our day was so full today, we need 2 posts!

✨ Day 3: A Glow into the Future & A Look Back at Cincinnati’s Past!

Our Generation of Innovation Week continued with two more incredible experiences!

First, while our AL and MC were at the VOA museum, our IL residents enjoyed Futuristic Glow Bingo — complete with neon colors and blacklight magic. We learned that blacklights emit ultraviolet light, making certain fluorescent materials glow brightly, a technology first popularized in the early 20th century for art, science, and entertainment. Residents loved the vibrant atmosphere and the high-energy fun!

Later, the Cincinnati Museum Center treated us to a fascinating presentation on 20th Century Cincinnati — sharing stories, photos, and artifacts that brought the Queen City’s history to life. From industry and innovation to local icons, it was a nostalgic journey that sparked many personal memories.

Two experiences, one amazing day — celebrating both the bright lights of innovation and the rich history of our community.

📻 Stepping Back in Time at the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting!

As part of our Generation of Innovation Week, our residents from Assisted Living and Memory Care took a fascinating trip to the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting in West Chester.

Housed in the historic Bethany Relay Station, this landmark once broadcast America’s voice to millions around the globe during World War II and the Cold War — sharing news, music, and hope across continents.

Residents explored the original control room, learned about the powerful transmitters that could reach far-off nations, and even listened to vintage radio clips. Many shared memories of gathering around the radio with family, making this outing not only educational but deeply nostalgic.

A special thank-you to the museum staff for guiding us through history and giving our residents a chance to connect the innovations of yesterday with the world we live in today.

✨ Generation of Innovation – Day 2 Recap! ✨

Today, we took a stylish stroll through history as we explored the trends and stories behind fashion from the 1920s to today! 👗👔

Our community enjoyed a lively "Guess the Decade" Fashion Game, where our amazing staff became the models, showing off iconic looks from different eras. From 20s gentlemen with pipes and suspenders to bell-bottoms, neon ’80s vibes, and modern chic, the runway was full of personality and nostalgia. Afterwards, we viewed a fashion history documentary hi lighting the past 100 years of fashion.

To top it off, residents and staff joined in the fun with "Dress in Your Favorite Decade" Day—filling the halls with color, creativity, and memories of fashions past. ❤️
It was more than just clothes—it was a walk through time, celebrating self-expression and the trends that have shaped our lives.

✨ Day 1 of Generation of Innovation Week ✨

We kicked off our week long celebration in style today! 🎉

📱 We opened our “Replaced by the Smartphone" Exhibit where residents can explore a fascinating collection of gadgets and everyday items from the past that our smartphones have now made obsolete. This display is a nostalgic trip down memory lane and is open all week long-Make sure to stop by and check it out! (Located on the 2nd floor across fr the media room)

🛋 1970s Living Room Unveiling – Our café now features a groovy, fully recreated 1970s living room, complete with retro décor, bold colors, and vintage vibes. It’s the perfect spot to relax and reminisce this week! (More pics to come soon!)

💲 The Price is Right: Now & Then – Residents tested their knowledge today by comparing prices from 1975 to 2025 in this fun-filled game. Let’s just say… there were some surprising differences!
