✨ Spa Day 2026: Relax, Reflect, Refuel… and Maybe Sweat a Little ✨

Spa Day this year was the perfect mix of pampering, laughter, deep breaths, full bellies, and just the right amount of chaos- the good kind.

Our friends from Alpha Omicron Pi, Kappa Tau, Southeastern Louisiana University kicked things off by stuffing goody bags and decorating like the queens they are. We opened in prayer, then jumped straight into Chair Zumba with the fabulous Sheron Mott Lee, who had us moving, grooving, and questioning our life choices… in the best way.

Then came lunch, and listen, it was a moment:
• Tasty Sandwiches & drinks from The Mission Church (Thank you, Dawn!)
• Summer salad + crab‑shrimp‑crawfish‑corn bisque from (Kerri, we’re still dreaming about it) Kerri Thomas
• Brownies & cookies from The Cakery (Krista & fam, you’re dangerous)

After we refueled, Kovia Ventress led us through Learning to F.L.Y.- First Love Yourself. Feelings, self‑care, affirmations… and yes, we had our moms looking into their phone cameras telling themselves beautiful truths. Tears? Maybe. Growth? Absolutely.

Meanwhile, and this deserves a standing ovation, four young ladies and a mom from Adolesco Preparatory Academy, extra volunteers, and another AOII superstar were holding down the fort with 12 kiddos (ages 1–12). They played games, did activities, hunted Easter eggs, and inhaled pizza like tiny champions. Our moms got to relax because their babies were having a blast.

During reflection time and after, the lovely nail techs from Jeanne Maureen's Salon & Spa pampered our moms with fresh polish- a little sparkle to match their strength.

We wrapped up with journaling: three gifts a day = 1,000 gifts a year. We sent them home with journals, fun pens, and stickers to remind them how amazing they are and how far they’ve come.

And to our volunteers and staff, the behind‑the‑scenes heroes who decorated, wrangled, organized, prayed, cleaned, encouraged, and made the whole day shine... thank you. You made this possible. And yes… YOU matter.
