It is a bittersweet moment at Cate Street Optical as we welcome Dr. Hand full time. We then, in turn, are saying goodbye to Dr. LaMonica.

Dr. LaMonica and his wife, Kristin, founded Cate Street Optical in 2017. They built this office from the ground up and called us home for the last eight years. His career, ambitions and style of care are one of a kind.

We wish Dr. LaMonica and Kristin well as he retires off into the mountains of Montana!

A note from Dr. LaMonica-
To all my patients:
It is with a mixture of sadness, joy and gratitude that my last day in the office was May 17, 2025. It has been a great pleasure to serve all of you for the past thirty years in the Hammond area. I have had the pleasure of meeting great people and developing special friendships. You will be left in the good hands of Dr. Thomas Hand. I have had the pleasure of working with him these last several years. He has access to all of your records to aid in your ongoing care. I wish you all the best in the upcoming years!
